It makes me cringe knowing I lost all of my beta screenshots and famous beta videos when my previous comp died. I miss people freaking out over high levels such as the infamous hacker TehSpearman or Beta legends like MildSoss, KitsuneLove, and many others.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Oldest screenshots I have now are from when Khaini first opened. Everything before that I lost from my old computer's motherboard frying.

Though I have 2 cropped pictures of my 2 CB chars which I got from an old forum I went to. :\

That video gave me goosebumps.

Such a proud class us original bowmen were. C:

My two sisters' and myself, we all started during the 2nd to last week of April 2006. So end of Gen III.

Two things: first, I chose Generation III, even though by your list I'm Generation IV, because while Zakum was a huge ordeal when I started playing July 20, 2006, it was reaching 3rd Jobs and the whole Tiger craziness that pervaded most mainstream thought.

Second, and most important comment: I really don't like that you have a two-year time span denoting Generation IV, because a lot happened in those two years. I myself went from 1-130 in that time span, and so I think it's important to break it up a little more. Why not look at breaking up generations in there based on external forces on the GMS world? Between May 2006 and February 2008, we saw the creation and rise of NX Game Cards, as well as game-changing additions of 2x EXP cards and Dark Scrolls. Those were massive inclusions that really shaped the future of the game and changed it from what it was before, and thus deserve a note there, too.

Finally, nostalgiapic:

I was 50 something at the time; it's the cleric friend next to me who took the picture. And mind you, we made it that far because we had an 11x Priest with us Wink. IIRC Eucki on the end was 3x. So all the survival credit goes to KP. But it was damn fun to try and survive while he killed everything.

MapleStory as a whole? 4th Gen I guess. Bellocan? 1st or 2nd, depending on how you want to look at it.

Something like 1.4-9.2007 So Gen 4...

Though I would almost consider myself late gen 2, using my logic which would be Generation/year. Gen 4 doesn't sound old enough D:

Start of 2007 ftw (outside of 404894 vaccers and fly hackers in every map)

- Amoria had just came out
- No 2x exp
- No reduced curve
- No 4th job
- Only original 4 classes
- MS wasn't "WhoDonatesMostMoneyToNexon -game" like it is today.

3rd Gen I suppose. I do remember playing when Omega Sector came out though.

Beta should be gen 0 and the first official release of GMS gen 1.

But, gen 1.
