So while looking at Bulbapedia's article on Chargestone Cave (just seeing if any useful items came from it), I saw that Tynamo can be caught. I looked at it's evolutions...dam, Elektross seems beastly. No weakness + great stats (decent speed though). Anyone have any advice regarding using it? I was thinking of catching one and either leeching it with Exp. Share/Lucky Egg or Audino training it. It seems to be the Magikarp equivalent of past games. Looking at the moves, I'd probably train Eelektrik to level 54 and then evolve it - only one move after that appeals to me and it can be learned via TM. I might not even go that high, but I'll figure that out when I get there.

EDIT: Found one while exploring the cave - B1F too (2% chance, supposedly). Decided to go ahead and pursue training and using one. Shall be...interesting.

Currently Audino grinding my Axew and Litwick. Litwick sucks so hard when it is raining and the only effective move on Audino is Will-o-wisp and Flame Burst. ;_;

I thought about training a Tynamo up to an Eelektross, but having 1 slow training poke (Axew) is good for now. Eelektross is also slow as f'uck with 50 base speed. >_>

What about reuniclus? It has a slow ass speed with only a base of 30. Tongue
Reason I swapped it out for rufflet when I saw one.

Especially the whole "doesn't learn attacks till it evolves" thing.

Word of warning: Audino grinding will give you 2 HP EVs per kill - you're going to have a weirdly huge HP stat grinding on them.

Except Reuniclus can take a lot of damage (even super effective hits only take ~40% until the post game) and it's not affected by burns/poison/weather (if you got Magic Guard, which you should). Eelektross might be slightly faster, but it doesn't really make a difference compared to Reuniclus which has way more power in return, a more accesible movepool, and reaches it's final evolution at Lv.41 (if you want Coil you'll have to wait until Lv.54).

I'm kind of annoyed by the fact that so many Pokémon that appear in the lategame are still unevolved. Sure, it gives you a reason to train them even after finishing the main story, but having to drag something that's about half as strong as your weakest Pokémon around for another 10~20 levels sucks.

HurrycaneX Wrote:Get Lucario and/or Reuniclus (it's immune to weather damage either way, but be sure to get Magic Guard). All the Pokémon on your sandstorm team seem to be mainly physical, so a special user or 2 could be very usefull (and Reuniclus can deal with the Fighting types that can easily sweep half your team).

I was thinking of adding Reuniclus, but I wasn't sure if Magic Guard prevented Sandstorm damage. Thanks for the input.

I find Cubchoo by the truckload, but Cryogonal is nowhere to be found. What's worse is that I know I'm going to stay in this mountain till I find one, too.

Just change your game to Winter or something. If you don't, HF finding a 1/100 Pokemon.

Already found a 1/8127 Pokemon. 1/100 is child's play.

Edit: Besides, even if I change it to Winter, it only raises to 5/100.

Ferrothorn EV training status: 10 HP, 145 DEF. Another 100ish to go for DEF and then I get to focus on HP for a while. Fun fun.

Found a Shiny Yamask. As far as I remember, the rate of finding a Shiny Pokemon is something like that.

EDIT: It's 1/8192.

Maybe so, but you can always go back and correct the EVs later.

Bleh, so hard to choose which pokemon I want to keep with my team. Here's my current team before the 6th Gym (still gotta go to Route 7 with the Gym Leader and deal with Team Plasma):

Dewott - level 30
Zebstrika - level 31
Krokorok - level 32
Stoutland - level 33
Pansear - level 30
Archen - level 31

Krokorok is so beast. ^_^ I'm not sure about the bottom 3 though. I know I'll replace Pansear with Litwick, and Stoutland is being a nice tank stand-in, but yea. s: Might replace Stoutland with Reuniclus...maybe. <<;;

It doesn't really matter since I'm not EV training, just getting my pokes to a high enough level to be useful. Once I finish the game, then I'll focus on the competitive scene.
