Dear Players,


We will be performing maintenance onMapleStory on March13th, 2011. Daylight saving time will begin and server time must be adjusted to reflect this change.During this period,all game serverswill be unavailable.Thegamemaintenance will last approximately 2.5hours.


If you are in an area that observes daylight saving time, don't forget to set your clock forward one hour! If you are in an area of North America that observes it, the time change occurs at 2 AM your local time, so it will spring forward one hour to 3 AM.

FUUUUUUCK I FORGOT DST WAS THIS WEEKEND
bye sleeping in for spring break ;3;

I LOVE THIS DST. Even though we lose an hour of sleep, BUT STILL.
I'm kind of tired of it getting dark at like 6pm >_>.

Got four rings to level 4 before the maintenance. Got my boxes at midnight sharp, and Kradia didn't go down until 1:12.

**Update** There were technical issues when bringing the servers down. The maintenance has been extended to 6:30 AM Pacific Time, 9:30 AM Eastern Time.

On an unrelated note, I completely forgot about DST and lost an hour of sleep, now I have to go to work with even less sleep than I was already getting ;_; FML. lol @ extension.

And they didnt knew that they had technical issues at bringing down servers till 1sec before open time? ...

They always do that, that's why people get irritated when there's extensions.

It's complete bullshit that they don't tell us earlier. They only tell you the moment the game is supposed to be up.

Gah, extended? Definitely missing out on ring upgrade. Again. I need more than that 'extra week' that we're already getting. :/

All I know is that Nexon is taking an amazingly long time to turn a clock ahead 1 hour.

And as always, their MO is frustrating and irritating.

In their defense:

1) They might not have realized the shutdown wasn't clean until it came time to turn the servers back on.
What, you never booted up a Windows comp just to have it say "windows didn't shut down properly" even though you don't remember doing anything wrong? Probably some over-enthusiastic intern turned the power off, or changed the system time, before all processes were down and files closed. Hopefully this won't mean we lose some data (the dreaded R word).

2) You're not supposed to be checking the website before the scheduled game-up time anyway.

1) Too many assumptions.
2) Why shouldnt I? Is there anything wrong with checking for new maple news? Is there something wrong with checking to see if they finished early? What about checking account info or doing surveys for nx or something?

**Update 2** Due to unexpected delays, the maintenance has been extended to 7:00 AM Pacific Time, 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
