Black and White recent happenings thread!
I made it to Ghetsis yesterday, and since I named my in game name after my real name, he says this.

Ghetsis: Dennis!
I basically lol'd

I also had Excadrill out and forgetting that it had fire blast, I went OH crap in my mind for a sec, but 1/2 a second later

"Excadrill avoided the attack!"

I then went, FCK YESSSS, and proceeded to OHKO it with X-Scissor.

Now that I hear it again, with headphones, it sounds more like 'Penance'

I just changed around all my 24 boxes. Game took a freaking long time to save, but at least I won't have to redo my boxes when I have more Pokémon now. There are some very cool box wallpapers after you beat the game. Also, a tip for those that are naming their boxes: if you use qwerty mode for input, pressing the R button after inputting a letter will change it's case(think of it like shift, but afterwards). I also caught all Pokémon available to me in White Forest.

On my way to get all TMs now, I still miss a few but I haven't been able to go everywhere yet (Twist Mountain and Iccurus City in the winter for example). I did run out of money buying TMs from the shops, so now I'm back to raiding the Abyssal Ruins for more stuff.

Managed to get to the 14th battle in the Battle Subway, then some trainer managed to hit me with Focus Blast 5 times in a row. I can't land a Stone Edge for 4 turns (after that I had to switch out so I wouldn't die) but the AI can rape me with Focus Blast all it wants... Just great.

I was using the lucky egg, but only to evolve my pokemon, like my Bionic (duosis) who evolved at 41, and archen and so on. I stopped using it now, and I'm waisting battles training my axew (evolved) with my fire/bug dude using exp share.

Just found out there's another bunch of TMs that can only be bought in the Battle Subway. So that's another few hundred BP right there.

Aerial Ace is a pain to get. After getting the 6th badge, talk to the youngster in the house north of the Mistaltron Pokécenter, then go to the bottom left of the runway. The problem with this is that Serebii lists it as just finding an item, but it's only there after getting the badge and talking to the youngster.

BlueRuin Wrote:Are there more than two of the Exp. Share?

Yes. You get 1 Exp. Share at the Battle Company in Castelia City by defeating the last person. You get another Exp. Share from the Pokemon Fan Club Chairman in Icirrus City for lvling a pokemon 25-49 lvls. You also get a Cleanse Tag from the Chairman for lvling a pokemon 50-98 times and last a King's Rock for lvling a pokemon 99 times.

Musharna appears in the last area of the Dreamyard every Friday and it has the Dream World ability instead of its normal one.

Is Entralink local only? If I wanted people to come into my white forest, would it have to be rl friends only?

That is pretty stupid if that's how it is.

That is how it is.
And it kinda makes sense. If it worked the other way it'd be called the extralink.

Appropriate name doesn't make it any less dumb. Why does Japan keep doing this crap? First Dragon Quest and now Pokemon. NOT EVERYONE HAS REAL LIFE FRIENDS WHO PLAY THESE GAMES. I can understand and accept international internet based features because you can ALWAYS find someone to help you but that is not true for so many reasons in real life.

Also does this have a vs. seeker? I keep running out of money and I'm running out of trainers to battle.

Nope, there is no vs. Seeker.

Also, many of the features require local wireless, a very common thing in Japan due to its density..

I think it's stupid as well. That and I only know 1 person who is getting Black. The worst part is is that you need to get all the pass powers to get a star on your Trainer Card...

There's no VS. Seeker, but there are lots of daily battles and at the Abyssal Ruins in the Undella Bay you can get tons of items which you can sell for over 1.5 million total(there's no cap on how much money you can have). There's 2 other NPCs that will buy either ingredients or rare "ores" (from stardust to nugget and whatnot) too. After buying most of the expensive stuff that's bought with money *cough*Battle Subway exclusives I can't transfer from previous games*cough* I still have quite a bit left, which is probably going to be spent on tons and tons of vitamins.

By the way, how does everyone set up their boxes(if at all)? What I did was: 2 "Transfer" boxes(where I put stuff I want to trade), 1 box where newly caught Pokémon are put, 11 boxes for storage, 2 boxes for Legendary Pokémon, 5 boxes for EV trained Pokémon, 1 box for training/Pokérus, 1 box for Dittos, and 1 box for stuff I'm going to breed.

22 boxes for one of each of the pokemon 649 pokemon. 2 boxes for trades/waiting to evolve pokemon.

Isn't it more like 715 if you count each forme you need to get too? (All Unowns (28), Both Meloetta forms, Both Giratina forms, Both Shaymin formes, Both Cherrim formes, All three Burmy/Wormadan coats, all five Deoxys, All 18 Arceus (Including the ??? one), etc)

and what about getting all 4,294,967,296 forms of Spinda?

Meloetta's form change is only in-battle after using the attack Relic Song. After battle it reverts.
Shaymin reverts to Land Forme as soon as night falls/you put it in the PC.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. I didn't know about that!
