Since the version 0.96 patch I haven't been able to open maple. The hackshield loads up but nothing else happens.
My HDD goes nuts trying to open it but the process just sits there using 32-37 mb of memory and 1% processor.
I tried re-downloading and installing, rebooted my comp several times. Any suggestions?

If anyone finds a fix for it let me know, I submitted a ticket for what it's worth. Sucks when stuff like this happens. I just wanted to try LHC. >.>

After turning off my computer, i tried again and i was able to go on via game launcher, then closed MS to test it again and i couldnt go on again. Then tried from the website and was able to go on again, closed Ms again to try it via Launcher but fail. Turned off my computer again, tried via launcher and sucess lol, so im a bit confused.. ima continue testing after finishing the ring quest.

My desktop and laptop that I usually use works fine, but when I put Maple on a flash drive to play on a different laptop, it doesn't start. I've monitered my computer processes through the task manager, and after Hackshield starts up, the maplestory process just stops after a few seconds. I can't figure out whats stopping it from loading.

I am no good with computers, just to warn you.
Have you tried running it as an admin? I know that's worked for me before.

Of course, that's the only way it opens on my comp anyways. I have tried from the website as well. I finally got it to open after about ~20 tries, but now it refuses to open all over again.

I'm starting to have this problem now too, I had just finished cleaning my computer fans and when I booted up again MS refused to boot up through game launcher. I tried the site and it worked and haven't tried it again since but the game launcher won't boot up maple anymore even after rebooting the computer a couple times and uninstalling, installing v.95 and re-patching to v.96. I'm running on W7 Ultimate 64bit.
Edit: I started playing around with MS in task manager everytime it booted and if it only went to 32-35k memory and stopped I ended the process right away and booted up a.s.a.p. again and after about 6-10 reboots it started booting up again. I tried booting through game launcher a couple ways and it would boot some of the time but I kept ending it a.s.a.p. through manager and it started booting up properly again.

That little trick of ending the process asap and starting it immediately after works. But I still wish it wasn't necessary. Thanks for the quick fix for now anyways, didn't think to try it and it does work usually second try for me.
