On a game that I used to play there is an option in which the shop owner pays a set price for each hour so his/her shop would be seen by anyone using a fast browsing system for the FM, much like you activate said system and you look at the shops as if you doble clicked it making it faster to browse the whole FM and looking at it, the only thing nexon would have to do is implement a grid for the FM to know who comes first, owls would still be used since their about 15 shops per room (wild guess) and browsing 20 rooms would take their time and maybe someone wouldn't like to pay so his/her shop is on the browse system (doesn't have enough mesos (maybe something like 1M per hour)) or someone run out of time on the system (sets the shop at 10pm and checks it at 6am before going to job/school but didn't wanted to pay for 8 hours and just payed for 4).

Therefore, I either have to get two permits, or sell one at a time rather than both at the same time.
I really wasn't planning on spoon feeding anyone who couldn't grasp a simple idea, but here goes... If you have a bunch of equips for a certain class or even random equips that have similar potential/stats that favor a certain class, you can put them up for sale in a place where people can easily find your store if they are looking for said items.
PurePanacea Wrote:And if with this new "Owl" feature you are suggesting, wouldn't that make job-specific FM rooms obsolete anyway?
Why, yes it would. However there is this thing called brainstorming where anything goes! Pretty neat, huh?

Instead of regurgitating what I said in a different way, please post something constructive. Your scenario works out only if said individual has a horde of class-specific equips.

See the bolded word? See the forum title? I'm merely discussing something with you, trying to have a civilized argument. I counter your idea, you counter back. Let's not get pissed because this isn't going to turn out to be "Your way or no way", alright?

My idea is exactly for the scenario you mentioned, which by the way is the case for many merchants. What don't you understand?

This isn't meant to be an argument thread. It's to post ideas what you think should be changed in the FM. By the way you're talking to me, it seems like you're the one who is pissed. Perhaps you should take a walk or have a cup of tea to calm yourself.

If that's the case for so many merchants, then so be it. I still feel as if your idea for the search function would make it obsolete, as I stated.

Ideas are the result of discussion, and discussion is a form of argument.
On the contrary, I am actually far from pissed, it was merely your condescending tone I was addressing. I will take that tea, however.

Yep, but if nexon were never to implement a search feature (If they do, I would eat my own hat) they could always do something like this instead. It's not like there isn't space or anything. If I remember there is a gigantic game zone in Henesys that is a ghost town. It could be put to some use as a second FM for particular shopping.

You're right; I had forgotten about that place. It would be a nice compromise, as you suggested. One could be for job specific equips, the other could be for those who have tons of random equips/items. I wouldn't mind this.

No worries. I tend to take "The Golden Rule" to heart.

Just because the game doesn't cater to you doesn't mean it needs change. Become more self reliant on making/finding your own gear, make friends, take time to actually search. There is 22? fm spots x 19 chs but in reality only 1/10 of the spots are used, MS no longer takes skill, or even wits. You don't need to be spoon-fed everything.

Whoa, there.
The ideas make sense because things would become more organized, and the second could be especially useful. I'm sure there are many people who would find these ideas rather satisfying.

The time it takes to search the entirety of FM ch 1 has gone up dramatically as time has passed. Making the FM more organized doesn't mean Nexon is spoon feeding us. >_>

I didn't know checking lets say 100 stores in all of fm1 back then, takes more then checking 100 stores now. What happened? can't click/scroll your wheel as fast?

Who pissed in your bowl of fruit loops dude? Relax.
There are considerably more stores in the FM than there were a year ago. So, obviously, it takes longer.

Number 3... No thx.
I'm not buying 32959654 stores just to sell items in FM of every category. Or use time setting those up.

IGN: I don't play MS
Killed Wrote:That would be a huge strain on merchanting, which Nexon has already recognized as an in-game activity. Many many more people would sell stuff, and alot more of it instead of just the 16 item limit or whatever. So a MTS-version would be cram packed with loads of garbage just like MTS. It would be nearly impossible to scan every page for things to buy for cheap and resell.
Also, some people, like me, don't always know what they're looking for in FM until we find it. Would be really hard to just scan a FM-MTS.
The one thing that would be nice from that though, would be them keeping the FM and just renaming it so people could still go there and hangout/AFK with friends.
No, it wouldn't. DFO's AH is based on the one in WoW (it even uses the same interface). There is absolutely nothing harder about buying and selling over there except not having the ability to camp beside someone setting up a shop and ninja'ing an item where they forgot a zero.
Too much garbage in the market could be solved with either a posting price or a minimum sell price.
And I don't know if you've ever used an owl or played an MMO with a market search function but you are free to browse items by type and class as well as search. It's a hell of a lot faster than strolling through every room and clicking every shop.

If I remember right, you're the one who came in here with the bad attitude, or as you'd like to call it, "playing devil's advocate." With that said, it's funny how you're telling me to grow up, when you're acting like the child.
If you didn't like the idea, act your age and say so, rather than being a plantain about it. Have some respect, otherwise no one will respect you.

If you didn't like the idea. To that lets break down my first post....

Counter: Some people don't have the time to spend about 20-30 minutes searching through the FM for an item they need. Sometimes they don't even find the item.
yo72 Wrote:Its fact
A useless fact. We know how many FM rooms there are. What's more relevant is that the number of filled rooms is increasing, therefore increasing the time needed to surf for an item.
And let's be clear: These weren't my ideas.

100 stores? Maybe in one row of FM rooms. >_> Back one year ago i only had to check the first few rooms of every row because the rest were empty. (exception being the first 6 rooms) Now EVERY. SINGLE. ROOM. is full at all times. F'uck searching all that. >_>
