Black and White recent happenings thread!

Eddikins Wrote:Im unsure weither to keep my Liepard in my team.

Its current state of 22, its attack sucks, and its really frail. According to serebii it lears claw sharpen but i mean...how many of those would i get off in a battle to make it useful before it gets poked once and dies..
In other news, my Roggenrola evolved and then i traded it with a friends Gurdurr so we both had the final evolutions. I am unsure weither to use Gigalith or replace both it and my Liepard with a Sandile.

Just ditch it. This is a good thread to refer to if you're wondering if something is worth keeping on your team. A bunch of people have posted there and stated how their experience using certain Pokemon went. Of course you can use anything you want, but some things will be harder to raise/battle with than others.

Playing this game slowly, I don't want to finish it too early.
I just beat the second gym, didn't really like the question library thingy.

So far I've got two badges, got white by the way.
Current team (In catch order):
  • Pignite Lv. 18
  • Herdier Lv. 19
  • Pidove Lv.17

This ist he first time I'm doing Pokémon without any knowledge about the region and only a bit about the new Pokémon themselves. So I hope I'll enjoy the game more this time.

As usual my 'catch the cute pokemon' strategy turns out to be a fail. Curse game freak for making all the cute pokemon suck.

I was gonna replace my Herdier with a Minccino when i found one but that tier list is making me not want to lol Sad

Someone told me tms are now unlimited, is this true? And also, I saw in a video that gym leaders can return their pokemon right after you attack them, without you being able to do anything.
Yes, giving gym leaders the edge, I like it. If it's really easy for some of you, why not put the shift pokemon option off?

Not sure about Gym Leader question. But yes TMs are unlimited now.

Yea, that makes sense. Why would a TM disc break suddenly after using it?
EDIT: Watch this, the gym leader's pokemon switches out to another one.

Dumb Pokelogic that lasted for 4 generations.

I'm glad they finally changed it though. I never used to teach my ingame Pokemon TMs because I didn't want to risk not being able to get the TM again. Now I can teach my Pokes whatever I want and even alter their movesets before gym battles.

Although I predicted my team for Black a few weeks ago, screw that..

Gonna take the game step by step, catching and deciding on using that Pokemon if I like it. Cool/Cute Pokemon > Better Stats Pokemon anyday :3

SATURDAY, PLEASE GO QUICKLY T_T

P.S: Yeah, good thread here for help with the game..

The good addition i like this Gen is that they finally made pokemons eyes close when you use sleep inducing moves on them.

Reminds me of that comic where you put Entei to sleep, or freezze it, and it runs away frozen/asleep. o_o
About time they made them movee, digimon was making sprites move since like 4 years ago with Digimon dawn/dusk

I live in Toronto but I'll be going elsewhere. Especially now. Not that you'd see me anyway.

Yeah. And also their animations slow down when they have low health, and a yellow/red/purple tint when paralyzed/burned/poisoned, and they stop moving and turn blue when frozen.

Just flooded the Driftveil gym using only Basculin. Even without Adaptability he 1 hit everything. Fought Bianca just now, I'm starting to hate Scald because my Deerling keeps getting burns everytime it's hit(and after 5 times in a row it's getting annoying). I did get Fly though, but I have to train Archen 6 more levels before he can learn it.

So, just how hard is this gen compared to the others?
-doesn't want to be disappointed with another easy mode game-

Gyms can switch pokemon whenever the fk they want, without you even getting a turn (is what it looks like in the video I posted above).
Someone in here said that they had to keep fighting a trainer, then going back to the Pokemon center. :3 That's a good thing. Wink

IGN says this is the game to start with, and isn't a pushover either, so it's gonna be epic.
If you're just TOO pro, then turn off shift mode, it'll make it a bit harder.

That's the effect of the move 'Volt Change'... it's like the electric version of U-Turn.

Ohhh I c...
I forgot about those moves~
Would of be nice if they did that, makes the game harder.

Really GameSpot? a 7.5?

HeartGold.. a REPEATED but REVAMPED Pokemon game got an 8.0..
This game should've gotten atleast an 8.5..

But I wanted to ask you guys.. should I keep Dewott? or evolve him to Samurott?
I think Dewott is the coolest Pokemon everr, seriously.. him and Scizor are my two faves now..
