An Antec 1200 isn't so good nowadays due to a lack of the HSF hole, and the cable management is inferior to the Coolermaster HAF series of cases.. The main flaw is that the hard drives are facing to the front, and not to the side where the SATA cables can be hidden.

I've seen some reviews and such, and it looks like it only unlocks a few shaders. Once I get comfortable with the machine I'll probably OC it and unlock to a 6970. Also, for what I'm going to be doing with the rig right now, I don't need any extra coolers. Later on I'll buy some.

Fair enough. You had mentioned it was your first rig you were building, so I figured I'd comment To be honest though, I don't like stock thermal paste. I find it doesn't perform all that well, but if you aren't overclocking, it makes no real difference.

I'll keep that in mind when I OC it. Thanks for the input.

Pretty cool, I certainly would be shitting brick when I try to apply the thermal paste. Congrats on a job well done.

Is it just me or is your camera REALLY that good to capture a in motion CPU cooler which looks like its not moving?
Also, gross @ the cable management.
2. If you're planning to even OC, I'd switch the stock CPU cooler with a Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus ASAP..

I can now run all my games on max settings.
Thanks for the help!

I got an antec nine hundred (over 1 year ago) and I used the megahalem heat sink for my cpu, as the idle temperature reaches 5x celcius. The build was the heatsink + 22" fan shooting hot air up. I ran intelburn for a full 30 minutes, which maxed out my cpu and the temp never crossed the 50 degree C.
Before getting the heatsink, I wasnt sure if it gonna fit properly, but it did. I would expect the 1200 to be a bit bigger than the 900 (not just number wise) so if you considering an alternative heatsink for your CPU, that's one option.

Moving things over? Why didn't you flip the case around? I want to see the other side.

I was mainly just blowing the dust out of the filters and off of the card and such. Didn't change anything. Derosis had wondered what I did with the wire management, so I took some photos.

Eh, I wouldnt worry about overclocking until you get a bigger monitor. Your graphics card wont be challenged much at all at a resolution like that....25" + monitors run as cheap as 180$, that would have been my first investment. Monitor is completely your worst bottleneck atm.
