Crysis 2 PC demo

Interesting to say the least. If you don't play with team members, prepared to be owned, a lot. I started getting the hang of invisibility and armor in the game. The grenades don't go as far as I think they should. If I can kick a car 30 feet, why can't I throw something that weighs 1/100 3,000 feet? Also, it seems sniping is much too overpowered. I'm not sure. I haven't tried it yet, but those guys just own me so much. Since there isn't a set spawn location, you can't really camp in this game that well. Here's to playing it some more.

Looks fun, but complex games like that tend to have issues with balance. Or maybe I'm just a pessimist. Downloading nonetheless.

Got on, kind of confused about what to do. Joined some games that seemed, deserted, got a kill, lost connection with host. Cycle continued for the next 4 or so games that I got into. Last one actually had other people too. ;_;

Feels like bc2's servers all over again, but this is based off of 15 minutes online.

A bunch of the servers I "Lose connection to the host" so I just pick the ones that have some amount of ping. I was able to find one quite quickly that way.

Started going after servers with a non 0 ping, still happens. No lag, just random DC.

From what I have played: Recoil seems tame, cloaking everywhere, and cloaking will not save you in close combat / enclosed areas where you can see the shimmery outlines.

Have you tried using the nanovision? I don't see much use for it, unless I'm missing something.

I have no idea what that is. I usually play through a campaign before going online, they make excellent tutorials.

Still DCing a few minutes in. Maybe it's something with my settings, maybe it's something with my computer. Iunno. I'll browse their forums (do they have any?) and try again tomorrow.

Just bumping this for the sake of talking about this game.

I can't find an instance where I could ground smash dudes to death. One guy tried it on me, and I just super armored. I killed him while he was stuck in the getting off the ground animation.

That said, making a custom class is the best bet to win. I haven't personally tried the sniper or the machine gun, but using the hologram, with reflex, combined with the quick stealth, prox alarm, and the extra bullets let me get pretty okay K/D's. Using the Scout class, I was getting terrible k/d's since the shotgun is underpowered and small range to boot. With this custom class, I was able to get to the 7 kill streak reward, which really isn't that good, since it could only kill like 3 dudes.

You just gotta play with the right tools. Anything else gets you killed, easily.
