How many Maplepoints have you got from refer a friend!

None of my friends want to play maplestory. =(. They are all rich friends who enjoy playing WoW which I am too poor to afford and I dont want to risk an IP ban creating my own mules. Also I am betting ONE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS, that nexon is going to notice and ban people taking advantage of this. I made this bet with a neighbor who plays maple.

If they were going to ban people due to detections via IP logs, i think they would have banned account sharers at some point. Or if they do try to ban those taking advantage, they might not be the smartest bunch, but they realize that some people will be at public IP's, or might be in a large family setting. Or someone could have just logged in at your house.

I dont doubt nexon might rue the day they started this, but i dont think banning everyone they suspect might have taken advantage of a program they offered and intentionally capped at a certain point, is a good idea. They should have learned their lesson with the bigfoot bannings, but if not, then they will likely ban anyone who logged in with the same IP address as someone they referred. This is stupid, because if you refer someone and play maple at a Internet Cafe, or Library, or anywhere that uses public IP, you get banned?

I doubt nexon is that dumb, but i could be wrong.

But then again, if they cant find out how to ban all these players, they can just terminate the refer-a-friend, because I am SURE they will notice a DROP in sales. According to how refer-a-friend should work you friend should be bringing in more revenue not less.

unless they want to pay me my regular salary, then my time is far too valuable to waste more than 5minutes to make 5k NX. Cheaper for me to spend 5minutes going into 7-11 to pick up a few cards. If you lack access to NX then utilize the MTS. you can make 5k NX also in just a few minutes or if you are THAT enthusiastic to spend hrs you could come out witha few hundred K NX.

i hope all abusing this are banned-perma for NX fraud; especially the meso generating sites that abuse mules for this.

Meso generating sites that abuse mules for this? And just now would they abuse this? It gives you it in Maple Points. Maple Points don't work in MTS. They don't look to be bringing back that meso bag anytime soon.


And NX fraud? LMFAO. Very funny. And just what is anyone frauding NX of? They aren't GIVING ANYTHING out. They aren't LOSING anything (except potential profits, which would be minimal). Where the hell does NX fraud come into play in this? XD

Now, for making that 5k NX in a few minutes. If it were that simple, then everyone would do it. You do realize that making that 5k NX in a few minutes requires one of two things, right?

The first would be knowing what stuff actually goes for in MTS. Then you keep hitting that refresh page looking for a cheap item, snap it up, and then resell it for more. Oh, wait, that requires you to have NX in the first place. Not an option for someone who can't access NX/can't afford it/etc.

The other one would be to have some scroll or item to sell in MTS. For anything that would be worth something, you would have to basically find it or complete a quest. That would require a higher level'd character, which not everyone has.


I find it very amusing that while you claim your time is far too valuable to even bother doing anything regarding this, you still want anyone who does use it to receive a permanent ban. And what for, if I may ask? Absolutely nothing.


Off to go Ctrl+F the ToS, see if I can find anything about them banning for taking advantage of an offer that they make available. Which, I do believe, is what they want.

Do you honestly need 'rukes' for things like this? I mean seriously. This was supposed to be something where you could gain a little from introducing friends into the game, not something that would allow you to get some extra cash yourself.

It was the fact that she said NX Fraud as the reason. And seriously, she wants people to be banned when this could be the only way they may have any chance of getting NX. Sounds kind of elitist, to me. :/ *may be using that word wrong <_<*

Actually, when making more accounts without refering more people, you are having to make them yourself. And that'll keep you hooked a bit more. It's a win-win situation for nexon, even if you really refer to a friend, or not, because... Who can make new accounts? People who have it easier to get nx: North americans. Me, as an european, can't take advantage of this, or even refer to a friend at all.

What are they going to loose for 26k nx on each person? to have them use them, and then recharge it. Mind if you remember that it's not a real currency? It's just something you need to keep recharging.

So, those abusing it, are probably going to get more after this. And hey, those who think it's easier to buy the nx, will benefit them too.

Alright this has gone on long enough. This thread has basically become "Let's justify exploiting a loophole when we know for a fact Nexon's gonna kick our asses for it later!"
