Looks like im buying a 3DS at launch!

Sarah Wrote:Anyone who isn't buying a 3DS solely for Paper Mario 3D deserves to be punched in the throat. It doesn't matter whether you buy it at launch or three years later as long as the purchase is prompted by Paper Mario. If you own a 3DS and don't own Paper Mario you deserve to be mugged and at the very least beaten half to death in the conflict. If not worse. The mugger will then be required to go buy/steal Paper Mario lest they ironically face the same fate.
+1

Already played (Super) Paper Mario (TTYD) twice through in preperation for the launch.

uh lol

I don't understand the significance of the video, OP. Why would this compel you to buy a 3DS? It has absolutely nothing to do with the new system; only the emulator for the old (though technically current) system. Of course the R4 would work on the 3DS because the 3DS' backwards compatability is no more advanced than the Nintendo DS on my desk. It would make more sense for you to just go out and buy a DS for $50 seeing how this video convinced you to buy a 3DS at launch but is nothing more than a demonstration of emulation software for the last generation's handheld.

I phrased that badly...

I mean, I get that people pirate things. I'm not going to say that I don't do it too (though if it's for games, it's generally because the game is out of print and/or expensive and even then I'll still try and get it). It's just that, well... when you're actively looking forward to pirating things... that just seems wrong to me. :x

When my job became dependent on that income. Doesn't make sense to me to support the very thing that could get me laid off since I'm very low on the ladder.

As for the topic, I'd very much like to get a 3DS at launch, but then; I'd very much STILL like to get a PS3, XBOX360, and PSP along with a number of other titles. Needless to say thanks to Paper Mario, it will be higher on my list of priorities, but the lack of GBA compatibility still bothers me. I have so many good GBA games that I still play, and I don't like having two of practically the same system taking up space. Was hard enough to sacrifice my GBA and most of my old color games recently (granted a friend I've been trying to get back to for 2 pineappleING YEARS left his GBA at my place so...). I guess I'm just stubborn like that.

Preoredered my 3DS, even though the launch games are sub-par. Pre-ordered SSFIV with it. Saving my money for MK3DS, OoT, Paper Mario and whatever Mario platformer that's going to be released. Mainly going to use it as a 3D camera at first.

I would buy one if it didn't cost $340 USD. ****ing New Zealand and its constant price gouging.

@above, a R4 cart worked on it.

also, say goodbye to R4 and probably hello to homebrew channel Cause Nintendo can remote brick your 3DS if they see that illegal software has been played
