It's basically the stock market. Prices change per hour, so buy for low and resell for high. (You can only buy/sell one item at a time and 1 per slot, in set-up, so it's useless.

it's a feature that's only good for beginning merchants who need as much starting money as possible. the only problem being that you could make twice that amount of money by training, looting, and selling etcs to the NPC.

Don't mind it or get too used to it, though; since Nexon has confirmed in an interview that the 7th Day Market is going to be removed in an upcoming update.
