I just thought of this earlier. Many people agree that there are probably multiple timelines going on, right? If nothing else, that Homura is a time-traveller. I was thinking that maybe this'll end up being a lot like Higurashi. This season will bad end hard (it's looking like it will anyway), and then next season we'll see another attempt at stopping whatever Homura's trying to prevent/save.

Possible. The animation style and quality are two interesting factors on whether this gets more than one season. Because of the somewhat detailed style that Madoka holds, I would say 1 more season is highly possible. That said, and with how the show is already rolling, I expect a huge turnaround and some trolling in the next episode or two.

More like some cheap excuse to stop it at 12 episodes so SHAFT can get some time and money to feed its staff since they can't actually afford to make a full 24 episode season.

OreImo OVA 1 - I guess it's a lot better than the original ending, even though it's a little sad. Just checked Wikipedia, and found that there will be 3 more OVA episodes. I can't wait!

One thing though...isn't Kyousuke going to return the bike...? More like, his dad's gonna have a fit when he sees it.

Also, the designs on the bottom right are most likely silhouettes of the witches previously fought back when they were still magical girls. Notice Charlotte on the top left.

Is this Sayaka? It was already speculated Sayaka would become a witch. Right now Japanese boards are making a big fuss about how "foreigners really called it" and such, and seem genuinely impressed in the work done on cracking clues and stuff in the show.

Subs not out yet, but I hard a bit of trouble understanding his last lines. When they come out and someone watches them, can someone tell me if my translation was okay?

"This land calls women growing up 'girls', right? Well shouldn't those growing into witches be called 'magical girls'?"

But it's a play on Japanese because "magic girl" = mahou shoujo = 魔法少女 and "witch" = majo = 魔女、so you cut out the middle piece of "magic girl" and it becomes "witch"

I liked the little random additions from the original ep I guess. And this leaves a better intro to the 2nd season I suppose as well as adding to what Kuroneko said to Kirino on the phone unlike the old end.

Infinite Stratos Episode 8

All I can say is...
Ichika is now offically the biggest idiot to ever have a harem now. I don't quite see why "Charles" just revealed herself as a girl now to the whole class/school. Also whhhoooaaaa what's with Laura's change of attitude with Ichika now~?

Madoka 8 Terrible subs but watched it anyway. Just gotta say this story gets darker every episode. Very nice plays with color (which remind me sometimes of SZS).

Infinite Stratos 08: Charlotte still makes me HHHNNNNNGGGG. What makes her cooler is that she's on definite bro status. The whole attitude flop thing with every single other girl in this anime makes me cringe a little though. :/

I had a huge eureka moment when Sayaka said that the wishes they are granted to save someone else, is a curse for them. Because i remembered when Kyubey explained how witches are born. Magical Girls are born through wishes, Witches are born through curses. It's kind of like an evolutionary cycle, which kinda fits the name "Incubator" and the egg shaped soul gems and grief seeds.

Kyubey is creating them and then nurturing them to become witches, but why? is his main goal Madoka, and all the other witches just a way to get to her? so many questions!

Fractale 6: Brilliant end. A little displeased with myself for not seeing that coming. Also, DAT ASS. Just keep laying on consequences of technology and additional parties with differing methods, Fractale. Daddy likes his sci-fi meaningful and with depth.

Very minor detail, but

In this episode Homura's hard outter shell gradually cracked open. The whole episode she didn't refer to Madoka by her full name, like she used to do and like she still does with everyone else. She still says "Miki Sayaka" but not "Kaname Madoka", she just says "Madoka" now.

Kyubey's job is to incubate witch egglings (magical girls). He doesn't only collect the sins from the grief seeds, but he continues the cycle of creating new witches. The Soul Gem can be thought of as a witch egg, it even bursts open when it "hatches".

I guess everything up until this point has been correct. Homura does have time-manipulation powers, and she's from another timeline. The hints that SHAFT's been pushing up the ass have been helping us a lot at this point. My question is, what is Homura planning on doing at this point? Kyubey's objective has been hinted too.

Also, I noticed how Homura said 'something' was coming, but since Sayaka's soul was cursed, it's going to be another obstacle for them or something like that. So I'm now wondering on whether Sayaka is transforming into that being we saw in the 1st episode, or not. But I don't think it's the same witch, because the witch at episode 1 looks obnoxiously powerful and large. I don't think Sayaka could be that witch, unless SHAFT's in a major rush to end the series now. I'm also wondering if Madoka is going to become a Magical Girl..

I'm too lazy to dig up the stuff now, but there are several convinient simularities between the witch's design in EP 1 and Sayaka's Magil Girl uniform, including that cresent moon she has. You can find it on Madoka wiki, but pretty much since EP 1 it's been speculated that the witch was actually Sayaka because someone looked at the concept art for Sayaka's magic outfit and compared it to the witch.

If she does, then she's only doing so because she feels guilty for Sayaka's transformation. Or if she doesn't, will she still worry about her friends? So many questions, so little time. Series is coming to an end shortly. 4 episodes left if it's a typical 12 episodes series. SHAFT has to be continuing this, otherwise, we'd be missing out on too much information.

Who knows. The spinoff manga may go more into depth on some stuff the main series skimmed over.

Infinite Stratos 08: What an episode! I would not be surprised if it started raining transfer students next episode. Seriously, this series goes with the most corny possible outcomes. Let's just have that enemy we faced french kiss the main character and make him her wife! Yes WIFE? Overall, it was an enjoyable episode though, just really it surprised me, since I thought things would actually start to get serious... Kore wa Zombie Desuka? is more serious than this!

@Spidey: Just letting you know that I read your post, I might look more into that personally, just for myself to know. Such a great anime so far, I hope it keeps up that pace!

Might be dropping this series now after seeing this episode. I thought everything in this episode was stupid. The spa/bath scene was a bit overdone, she was just infatuated with him. In other episodes, it seemed like she was shy. Now it seems more like she just magically fell in love with the guy.

Also, at the end, when Laura kissed him, really? REALLY? Why the f`uck.. just because he saved her? That's no goddamn reason. Also, they showed almost everyone's reactions, except for Charlotte's. Why? Doesn't she like him or something? Oh right, I'm taking this too seriously.

I'll drop this, or won't, based on episode 9. I really like "Charlotte" as a character, but I don't like what they're doing to her as each episode progresses. She started out great, now it seems like every girl is just magically attracted to him. That's just retarded. Also, just because it's a harem, doesn't mean I expected to be stupid at some point during the series. I was just hoping that the characters are somewhat likable, and so far, I hate how it's going.
