Scheduled Server Maintenance - 02.23.2011

The rooms in Golden Temple are all half-hour mini-dungeons.
The free ticket is one entry, so half an hour is it.
The tickets you buy with NX allow you to enter as many times as you want, until the ticket expires. If you exit a minute or two before it expires and enter again, you can stay in that last room you entered for what is effectively an extra half hour.

The one downside to Golden Temple is that all these rooms can only be entered solo. So, no HS (unless you're a priest/bishop yourself).

I don't use HS anyways, so hmm.. thanks for the info guys.

Meh. Unless they've increased the drop rate for sunbursts a lot, I'm not going to bother. And for a level 70 helm, at that.

Not to mention the exp sucks. And the fight would only be like a minute at the highest difficulty, lol@8m(?) HP for a level 140 boss. Let down. ):

I decide to get some actual playtime in for the first time in a month or two and the server is down for a security update. (aka the PR friendly way of saying "we were insecure before")
I come back an hour later and the downtime was extended. This was completely surprising and not at all expected. Why do I bother, really? >_>

Maintenance extensions aren't surprising to us anymore. In fact, Nexon finishing maintenance ahead of time is even more surprising to us, which they've been doing for the past few weeks. I guess they broke their track record and decided to even it out with an extension.

It's simple really. Never plan to play during this time a day on Wednesdays (or Tuesdays if you are in a timezone that is behind mine), ever. There is close to always a maintenance going. This is nothing new either, it has been the designated maintenance day for years and years.

If they are going with this update style should they change their version system to the one KMS uses?

Inside G.Temple you're basically soloing. Being a priest/Bishop wont make any diff. cause the new hs is only effective with 3 or more peoples. Even in a party of 2. the Hs isn't that good anymore.

HS solo (as a priest/bishop, or with a non-leeching HS'er) is worth 10% exp. HS in a party of two (and leeching HS'er) gives the attacker about 20% exp more than soloing without HS. In a world where the best exp buff you can get (outside of events) is 1.2x, training with an HS'er makes a big difference.

But anyway, irrelevant for Golden Temple.

The gold orbs needed to enter Ravana is still dropping at a pisspoor rate. Spent 30 min at Strong Stone Golems without seeing a single one

You are wrong. HS is still useful solo or with a leechless HS mule. It gives as much in a party of 2 as in one of 3, given that all are within range of the monster level. This is speaking of the exp you acumulate yourself, not that which you get from partymates kills.

I know that part with lvl range of the mobs. In Mardia is pretty hard to find ppls that would like to grind old-school style in the same lvl range now. =_=' idk about other server. Maybe is me also. % go pretty slow even with hs . sigh I hate being high lvl to see green bar goes up sloooowww.

I have not really looked into how good Golden temple would be now after BB. How would it stand against normal grinding at like lvl 90-120 with a leeching HS mule?

If anything, what were added.

Because, you know, since the last patch, issues such as game freezing every now and then, are back to me (not sure if that's for everyone).

Not only that, but it freezes every time I click on a NPC or go on in a NPC conversation. Or when performing random tasks. This happens in both Windows 7 and XP.

Thanks for screwing it up again, Nexon. Was expecting that. It has been going so well since a few months ago, until now.
