Depending on who uses it and when, it's a real game turner. I still remember when this guy decimated my Zero and Ammy with a level 3 X-Factor Wesker, and nearly killed my Sentinel if I didn't kill him then and now.

Almost always use mine to down Sentinel if I have 1 character dead.

It's alright. Comes in handy when I face the spammers that only use the long range attacks. Just got decimated by a guy who used sentinels beam about 50 times in one match >_>. I gotta get around these projectiles, and Ill be great.

58 Hits and 745k damage in corner.
56 Hits and 647k damage not in corner.

I've been mostly messing around with Dormammu, Super Skrull and Haggar. Any tips on them?

By the way, I'm playing it on XBox, my gamertag is LooseW. Feel free to add. : )

I have a Haggar combo that 100%'s some characters with 1 meter that I made. But I always have a hard time finding an opening fr my combos in actual matches.

Recieved the game today. Wesker is my favourite hands down. I think I will try to build a team with him, C.Viper and Deadpool.

I started messing around with C. Viper yesterday, her cancels are sexy. She can even cancel her Thunder Knuckle after hitting if you're quick enough.

I'm going to see what I can do with her later today.

I hope you play some matches against you guys again this weekend, preferably Friday or Saturday.

Ew, 50 times. I'd super jump over and start using Hypers like no tomorrow.

Speaking of Sentinel spam, how spammy was I with mines?

Yeah, I've been using ammy's stupidly long air dash to get some spammers. They ragequit soon after.

and you weren't too spammy. I can appreciate a little spam if when I get close, you put me in a painful combo, but someone that just spams and ragequits as soon as I work around their 'strategy' irks me a little. No where near as mad as some of the people on Gamefaqs though. The board makes me chuckle.

I just found this video after reading this thread, but I use the Haggar and Hsein-ko counters he mentioned in his video (though with Haggar I use assists to close in and it's certainly not as simple as just diving in unless they're really just button mashing spams). I actually got hatemail from a spammer before telling me to "take my control settings off simple mode" after I just crawled under his beams with Hsein-ko. I asked how that indicates in any way that I'm using simple mode, and he said "because you do air combos"

So I just replied to him that he should check the challenge mode and learn his characters, and that air combos are a big part of this game that most certainly can be performed outside of simple mode controls. There's nothing you can do on simple mode that isn't possible on normal.

Has anyone actually tried Simple Mode? I switched it off before I started playing. Even my girlfriend, whom is starting to play fighting games and is struggling to do a Dragon Punch combination doesn't play in Simple Mode.

No, I could try in a few minutes if you want, but I don't really see the purpose in doing so. Being limited sucks. I guess for characters like Captain America it's probably good though, since he doesn't really have many moves.

Good grief. Not even a month and we get to see Sentinel counters are already being posted. Can't wait to get so gud with Sentinel I'll need a tub for all the tears.

PSN=Boeyoyo. Probably be a day or two more until I start doing online matches. 80% of the way with Akuma, 0% with Iron Man, and Sent doesn't need to be learned.

Problem is, a lot of those counters fall apart if the Sent spammer is also using long-ranged assists :/

That's a pretty legit stick. Those look like concave Happ buttons though, which I hear aren't quite as sensitive as the flatter competition Happs. Also, the balltop on it stands out a bit, with everything else being American parts.

Well, just figure out strategies on your own. There are too many combinations to really make an extensive list of counters that covers everything. Doom missiles + Sent spam is a bit annoying to get by, but if you use someone like Ryu you just punish their assists if you have meter. Doom assist is good but extremely vulnerable.

Nice stick.

Looks more like a bat to me, but it's hard to tell with the lighting.
