If you know anything about Atlus and the games they make, they're FUBAR'd to hell and back.
Even then, there's a couple JTV streams that have streamed this game or are currently streaming it right now. Might as well have a look at it if you're really that quick to judge.

There is stuff that makes the game pretty mature, but nowhere at all does it indicate that it's a porn game.

Back on topic, the devs said that they are working on the patch to make it easier.

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne be my favorite Atlus game. Haven't seen any gameplay videos of Catherine yet, though. Im guessing its as they say: Dodge scary abomination and get to door, with some form of twist. EH.

I heard that one had such a darker theme than some of the more recent SMT Persona games. Is that the one with Hitler in it? I think it was one of the Persona 2 games, there were two games for that, I believe.

its the 3rd game in the main SMT series. Persona/Digital Devil Saga/ Devil survivor are all just spin offs of it. And its pretty dark, and hard as hell. The 3rd dungeon is bone-crushingly long and the monster encounters are more than just a wave o' mooks.

Is the whole game just about climbing towers of blocks? Looks pretty easy. And boring.

In all seriousness though, the game is pretty much on "Nintendo Hard" difficulty even on "Easy" mode. I think it's pretty safe to say "Hard" mode is that x9001.

If you’re waiting for Atlus and Team Persona’s bizarre erotic horror-arcade puzzler Catherine to be localised, you may have to wait a little longer: Atlus’ US PR has told BeefJack, very apologetically, there are currently no plans for a North American release.

“Catherine is a Japan-only game and there are no plans for a NA release at this time. Sorry about that!” reads the statement.

Catherine has currently been doing very well for itself in Japan, comfortably beating Marvel vs Capcom 3 to the top of the all-formats chart, though it’s anyone’s guess how much of this was down to the scantily-clad ladies on the box.

I’m playing the import, and I can tell you it’s certainly a great game… though complaints from Japanese players about its difficulty are not exaggerating. Seriously, it makes Demon’s Souls look like a walk in the park. We’ll bring you a longer writeup on BeefJack just as soon as we can."
