The ultimate Ultimate Adventurer's info thread... :)
#1
Ok, since there are too many random threads going around, and everyone states something different or incomplete, I'm making this thread.
I hope the combined info is appreciated! Smile

How do I make an Ultimate Adventurer?
With the Lionheart Castle patch coming, there is also the arrival of Ultimate Adventurers. What you need for it to create one, is a lvl120 Cygnus Character. When your Cygnus character is lvl120, you will get an in-game quests where you have to collect some items (Nexon never stops to amaze with creativity). When you have completed this quest, you can make your new character, called "Ultimate Adventurer", in-game. This character gets linked to your lvl120 Cygnus, and can be made only once.

Does my level 120 Cygnus get deleted?
No, you will keep your lvl120 Cygnus character. The Ultimate adventurer will be a new character, besides your Cygnus, and it will start at lvl50. Because it will start at lvl50, it will have slightly lower HP then a normal adventurer, because you missed the HP bonus of 1st and 2nd job advance at lvl10 and lvl30.

Wait, I already have a high leveled Adventurer, can I turn this one into an Ultimate Adventurer?
Yes, it's possible, through another quest. I don't have complete info on this one, but it seems the quest will take a LOT of time...
If anyone has more info on this, feel free to share! Smile

What new skills do Cygnus characters get?

- Empress Call
A passive skill that boost your Cygnus HP with 20%

- Empress Prayer
An active skill, lasting 120 minutes. Increases watt and matt by 4%. It will stay active, even if you die. The cooldown is 24 hours.

What new skills do other characters on the same account get when you have a lvl120 Cygnus?

- Empress Blessing
A passive skill, replacing Blessing of the Fairy, only when it's stats are higher. Both skills do not stack with each other. Per 10 lvls on your Cygnus, you will gain 2 stats, resulting in a lvl120 Cygnus giving you: Watt +24, Matt +24, Accuracy +24, Avoid +24

What new skills do Ultimate Adventurers get?
The Cygnus skill your Ultimate Adventurer will get, depends on the kind of Ultimate Adventurer you will make. It's not related to what class the lvl120 Cygnus is, where your Ultimate Adventurer is linked to. Each 10 levels, the skill will rise 1 level. Max skill level will be reached at lvl100 of the Ultimate Adventurer.

Ultimate Adventurers - Warrior => Soul Driver

lvl2 - 12 MP, Damage 63% (4 hits) up to 3 enemies. HP absorbed: 1% of total damage
lvl3 - 12 MP, Damage 72% (4 hits) up to 3 enemies. HP absorbed: 1% of total damage
lvl4 - 12 MP, Damage 81% (4 hits) up to 3 enemies. HP absorbed: 1% of total damage
lvl5 - 12 MP, Damage 90% (4 hits) up to 3 enemies. HP absorbed: 2% of total damage

Ultimate Adventurers - Pirates => Shark Wave

lvl4 - 15 MP, Damage 450% up to 4 enemies.
lvl5 - 18 MP, Damage 510% up to 4 enemies.

What are the new skill combinations leading to?
Soul Driver + Hero
=> Skill gets buffed with Advanced Combo by 200%. Overpowered? Yes...
Soul Driver + Paladin
=> Skill get buffed with Ice + Holy Charge by 149.5%, plus it freezes. Overpowered? Yes...
Soul Driver + Dark Knight
=> Skill gets buffed with Berserk by 160%. Ideal in combination with Dragon Roar. Overpowered? Yes...

I/L Arch Mage + Flame Gear
=> 100% useless > 50% DoT / sec for 15 secs = 750% damage = Same damage as Chain Lighting (740%) which is also faster.
F/P Arch Mage + Flame Gear
=> 100% useless > 50% DoT / sec for 15 secs = 750% damage = Near same damage as Paralyze (620% + 160% DoT) which is also faster.
Bishop + Flame Gear
=> Unique combination (Do damage while healing / buffing), but 15 secs x 50% is just too short and weak for Flame Gear to be useful.

Bowmaster + Wind Piercing
=> It outdamages Inferno (450% vs 600%), but only hits 3 enemies, still it might be useful for knockback at bosses!
Marksman + Wind Piercing
=> The only use I can think of is knocking back bosses (600% dmg), since Dragon's Breath doesn't work on bosses.

Shadower + Vampire
=> Useful for healing purposes, healing for +/- 22% your damage range, when hitting 3 targets. That's about 1750 HP for the average player.
=> Useful in combination with Chakra, while Chakra might not heal to 100% HP.
Night Lord + Vampire
=> 100% useless on both damage as healing, Night Lords have drain and avenger already... Sorry NL's... Sad

Buccaneer + Shark Wave
=> Only useful for getting quickly from lvl 70 to 120, since 3rd job Marauder skills lack a good mobbing skill! 100% useless in 4th job though...
Captain + Shark Wave
=> Only useful for getting quickly from lvl 70 to 120, in combination with flamethrower! 100% useless in 4th job though...

Ok, that's it for now. Feel free to comment everyone! Smile

Also only DW's Soul Driver was nerfed, not the UA counterpart, which is even more awesomes. I can already tell that SD will be one of the main attacks for Paladins, if not THE main AoE attack.
I'm going to have fun afk farming 25/8 just to max it out, assuming Nexon allows all high level adventurers to max it out.

Soul Driver seems to be best suited for Paladins since it can get up to 545% damage per hit with holy+lighting, in the oblivion maps it'll be doing 496.875% damage per hit + freezing, and at Qualms it can deal 534.375% damage per hit. On a side note, it can get all the way up to 560.625% damage per hit against Anego, but it'd be kind of a waste to use against her since blast would be faster.

It seems Nexon did all that balancing just to screw with us by dangling it in our faces and then throwing it out the window... Rolleyes

Soul Driver does 500% with Adv. Combo, 525% with that and CO, 625% with Chance Attack, 656.25% with both. (Enrage+driver would be silly, but should make it 1050% per hit)

Turns out CA is activated by Threaten, so a WK mule is a Hero's best friend...

So long story short, Ultimate Adventurers aren't worth it except for the extra skill. In which case, the only skill worth it is Soul Driver. In which case, the class that best suits Soul Driver is the Paladin. In which case, the update should be named The Ultimate Paladin Update. Gotcha.

I'll just take my +24 W.ATK Blessing and call it a day.

Oh, I failed to consider a paladin + hero combination. Looks like it's even more rediculous when used in a party. Rolleyes
They should probably nerf Soul Driver to 180% damage per hit at max level, and even then that's pushing the line of OP when combo, charges, or berserk come into the picture.

All Paladins need now is the Dawn Warrior's "Soul Rush" and the class becomes Pre-chaos Mech / DB 2.0... Rolleyes

Its going to be a pain to get the skill on your pally though D:
And mines only 108 right now... I would start over but i cant get white eyes again + i like being a reg WK but i dont want to get slapped in the face by UA pallys who have it much easier to level... I already had trouble getting 100+ with slash blast ;/ i cant imagine how long it took for you guys to get higher leveld. I think adventurers should get some bonus x_x

At level 70+, you'll get a quest from your job advancer to collect 20 leaves from Sand Rats. They're a really low droprate. Like, really really really really low.

And then you repeat that quest every 10 levels for 1 more SP into the skill.

Something I'd like to know is if the quest can be repeated as soon as it's done if the character is already 10 levels higher, or if the character has to gain 10 levels to redo the quest again.

I'm not sure... I think you'd have to gain 10 levels.
