In preparation for LHC
#21
Boss damage does not work on LHC monsters.
they are boss tagged, but cannot be 1-hit, or brought to 1 HP with a skill like Heavens Hammer.
focus on dmgTOT% and your main stat %.

BDMG worked for a couple of weeks in KMS, then it was patched. there's just no way it should work, that'd be really unfair to the majority, seeing as BDMG is really hard to come by.

take this from a KMSer.

Thx for confirming it. One thing though, there is nothing hard about getting boss damage as a potential stat on a unique weapon.

And there's nothing wrong with making it work on monsters with millions of hp THAT ACT LIKE BOSSES BUT SPAWN MORE OFTEN especially if i spent the money for it. >.>

I had heard that Van Leon can Null the effects of items that have potential on them is this true or not, if true then it wont really matter about what potential stats you have on your equips.

Van Leon is not out strolling around with the mobs you know, he is inside being the major boss for the area.

That and you probably mistook that for Empress Cygnus, she's the one who has the potential nullifying effect. I could be wrong, though.

I had to look around but I found that they both have the Null ability but i guess that doesn't really matter because it's not like you have to fight Van Leon or do you?

You don't.
Just as you can train in ToT without ever seeing Pink Bean.

Ah well... as if the potential system isn't broken at all.. but ok...

100% normal dmg (NX - less player)

-vs-

100 + (300%) = 400% * 1.3 = 520% dmg (NX wh0res)...

amazing contribution, this is the most important and insightful reply i have ever read, infact it is so insightful that only select people can see that this reply and yours are both beyond imaginable wisdom

stop fucking talking about how broken MS is!

If that is the case, not gonna bother recubing my staff for 30% boss. Would rather have a +20% bonus that I could use everywhere.

I used well over 100 cubes on my executioner, and I never got boss damage.
I hope for more luck with my pescas/killic.

It is gonna take a lot of cubes to get a rare weapon up to unique in the first place though, most likely. And the next best potentials after %bossing are the +w.atk you get on rare items.

63% is more than enough. You could go for higher, but I wouldn't break the bank. Maybe get Dragon's breath to 11 or something.

I'm assuming Dragon's Breath = Dragon Pulse, but it doesn't work on LHC mobs.

My EWand 5 has 30% boss and 8% total dmg and was 400m..Big Grin
Actually 2nd best is % to ignore monsters def system, then % total dmg and % wep attk I thinkBig Grin

OT: Glad I got 30% boss out of the way on my wand already for the expected lil % bossing glitch GMS should have when it releases, on-top of 65% INT. Hopefully I'll have 80+% INT by the time LHC comes out.

Why? When did it stop being broken then?

A "free" 2D game where people gamble with over 5000 dollars to reach this "epic" damage, and being encouraged by the makers themselves...

I wonder how this would broadcast on national television... hmmm? You too?

nobody said it wasn't, but your constant complaining about it won't do anything. it's just annoying to everyone

It's not that it isn't try, but it feels like you constantly complain about it instead of contributing. You're being way too pessimistic about it, and blabbing it for everyone to hear, even when most don't want/care to hear it, because there is nothing helpful about it. It's just irritating.

There's plenty of people who haven't bought more than 50$ worth of nx to achieve that "epic" dmg, I myself haven't bought ANY NX for the past 5 years, just depends if you're willing to take the hard way to achieve it, or if you have money take the easy way of buying nx. It's not up to you to decide if they can spend 5000$ if they want to. If they can, they will.

Last I checked it's a complete waste to have the 8% dmg on top of the boss dmg, atleast when youre bossing..and technically the +watk could be better than the % watk, given youre a class with low atk weapons (NL, pirate) since high level pot gear is more valuable than pacs, FS, scg, etc now. It's pretty rare for these classes to have more than +200 atk even with a decent blessing of fairy. %watk only becomes truely valuable to warriors and especially DBs who have ridiculously high watk stats...just clearing that up for you Smile
