From the highest point as allowed by the server. To the right's a wall I'm building, well, it's more like a SandStone tunnel, but whatever (5x5), there's some glass here and there, stairs, torches, .. etc. Going to be adding lava w/ glass eventually.

The diamond thing leading up my mountain is something the "Server God" built, that's also the spawn point. It's a room with Iron Doors, and you can only go out of it, not in. It also leads to my mountain, guess he wanted to, I guess. He's going to be adding a Nethershop soon, with dispensers. Basically, his idea is that you hit the dispenser every time you want an item from the Nethershop, and it'll shoot out 1 block at a time.

Why?

Because there's no Netherworld in multiplayer mode, and if he were to randomly distribute out free 64s, it'd be too easy. So this way is supposedly like mining, you're working to get it, 1 at a time. I'm actually approving of that. The tunnel I'm building is only 30% or so done too, going to be a long while. But my base is supposedly the biggest in the game at the moment. The tower is probably the thinnest base in the game, but it's also the highest, but it wasn't made by me.

So far, my mountain-base is linked to another mountain-base (my friend's) by tunnel & railroad. I'm also linked to a gigantic tower right behind my mountain via tunnel, etc.

Version 1.3 coming this tuesday.

Beds: These will allow you to skip the night and will work as a new spawn point, the last bed you slept one will be where you will spawn after you die.
Red stone repeaters: They can delay circuits among other stuff.

They seem to be including mystery blocks in updates now. I hope it's not as half useless as the dispenser.

I don't think it is. Jeb revealed the repeater a while ago, but was still mentioning another "mystery block" being OK-ed by Notch.

It's amazing for people who like to explore. This will really bring out Minecraft's big feature, The "infinite" world.

Oh, they're also changing the saving logarithm thing so it doesn't take THOUSANDS of files for a World to save.

Made this a while ago. It's inside of a castle I made, but the Bakery is my favorite part. The well has water in it and you can go down inside it

So, what happens to your spawn point if the bed is destroyed? Or covered in lava or something? Does it return the spawn point to the original stage spawn point? How about with SMP? If this works with SMP, people could make literal dorms and such where each person has their own room (unless someone gets drunk and sleeps in the wrong bed). Creates whole new possibilities for spawn bases. Adventure maps are far more possible with this. Now we just need some sort of "slide" block that is angled but not climbable, and isn't fully filled in the underside and we could make tents. Though, if this is being added to SMP as well, I'd like to see how they manage day/night with the servers.


P.S. Still looking for a somewhat quiet server to call home that doesn't reset all the time/mods new maps with certain structures from the older ones that are worth saving.

Typing SolarboyIsAwesome(I think) Will generate a kind of taiga biome.

I forget which variant I used, but "hellhole/Hellhole/HellHole" or some other alternative derivation had this awesome desert near plain near tundra biome.
