Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Sorry for the double post but...

Due to the recent downtime due to a glitched up store and Riot setting the XP/IP rate too low (both requiring a SC to fix), Riot is now giving people a free 10-win, 200% IP boost item (worth 675 RP, I think). Don't expect it immediately when you log on; Riot will need a few days to give everyone the compensation.

I got mines when I logged on. Will be abusing it during the 3-day weekend. Biggrin

IP Boost compensation (look at the top right of the screenie)
VLADIMIR, HERE I COME

Need like, 100 IP anyway, though. .-. Yeah, I'm picking Vladimir as my mage, I'll probably start dropping lots of IP on runes if I find Vlad satisfactory.

Vlad is a very good champ if used correctly. Though he's expensive. Rolleyes
Vlad uses HP to cast spells, and three of his spells help him restore HP. It keeps him alive and casting spells, that's why I thought he'd be a good beginner mage.
He is an extremely good beginner mage. If there's one dude that I even fear beginners using, it's Vlad.

If it's a skilled player I fear Anivia Rolleyes.

I never versed Kajiti, and if I do, I'd probably do my first intentional ragequit at ~5 minute mark Rolleyes.

Kaj plays pre-nerf Anivia like a friggin pro. I have only seen one other player that played almost as well as him. Rolleyes

tl;dr - Kaj is very good with Anivia.

He and I have never met in a game. Ever.

Oh, and you play LoL more 24/7 than I have. *points at match histories*

@ Bolded: I implied that whenever if its a skilled player with an Anivia -----> Kaj is the best candidate for that statement. Tongue1

I don't play a lot on weekdays, exccept to come on to test out a few things (like the tanky DPS Amumu build that I tested earlier in the week). I play real games during weekends, mostly. Rolleyes

Damn you. Rolleyes

You can thank your continual persuasion for me to start LoL for this. Tongue1

And yet your friends get credit for the assist.

Speaking of which, what happened to them?

@ Bolded: I c wut u did thar. Nice pun. Rolleyes

They're busy first-year college students. I play with them during weekends mostly.

But even without them around, I still find Southperry LoL players to play with. I'm mostly independent from them now thanks to you guys, lol.
Went 3 for 4 today. Spectacular Gragas game where Veigar and I pretty much forced their surrender at 21min. I was 9-1-8 and Veigar was 10-0. Not gonna talk about the terrible Lux game. Then there were two okay Corki games. Midding against Kat is a nightmare and I never want to do it again. I still can't come to a conclusion on what I like to start with on Corki. Doran's Blade is fine in the few games I'm not mid, but it really lacks against some champs when I go mid. Gonna try going Meki+pots with the other option being HP quints as fast as I can afford them and maybe opening with vamp scepter. Went Manamune>IE>Banshee's>Another BF item both games (finished my negatron in one and got to 2nd BF sword in the other) and I think I like that opening. Might not do IE first, but I like the raw damage over sheen>trinity pretty early.

I also finally bought my first few runes. Some flat MP/5 and MPen.

Lol QQing players.

Then again....the low IP gain is somewhat of a turn-off. Now if you stomp your opponents hard, they can troll you by ending it at 20 minutes and shortchanging you. >_>
Heh just had an epic tank carry game. Went 12/2/20 as Cho'Gath. It was after I ate Xin for the 2nd time that I started to really pwn them. XP All I can say is going into a fight alone against 3 of them, surviving multiple times and killing usually one or two either directly or assists pretty much made it possible. If I had built a guardian's earlier, I might have only had 1 death. XP

In which case you just make another game and it pays for the time.
I noticed the change from the first day after the patch to now and it's a lot more, last win I got was like 40 minutes and got me 111 IP, which seems pretty good to me.

Ah they did fix the borked IP/XP rate. Rolleyes
