How will they lose money? They're giving away Maple Points, which is different than NX. Also, all of these new characters will make it seem like they have more players, making Maplestory seem a lot more popular than it really is.

I can't get any because nobody can make a character.

They lose money if instead of buying nx, people just use the refer system to get maple points. Maple points aren't any different, except I think you're restricted to only using the cash shop instead of buying from mts.

And nexon isn't stupid. If they see someone gaining all these free maple points from characters all only getting up to level 20 from the same IP, it's obvious to them what's going on.

It's IMPOSSIBLE for them to ban you just because of you have the same IP address. >.> Nexon doesn't know whats going on in real life, they can't assume anything. One person might be have some friends over and your refering them and they're playing on your computer. If Nexon did something about it, there can be many legit bans everywhere.

It's not impossible and I don't think they really care much about legit bans. Just look at what happened with the bf glitch and all these recent autobannings.

Although, I doubt they'll do anything about it. It's just something to consider for those making tons of email accounts and nib characters to get free maple points.

I live in a residence, and they offer an internet package which results in ~100 people having the same IP at once. If I referred them, it doesn't look any different than if I invited myself Hopefully they're not going to block my account for inviting people.

I can make NX faster using other methods, so I'm not bothering with the event since I'm not gonna spend time leveling mules, nor am I going to bother asking my friends to play.

its just completely free to use this option
i mean it would be hella easy for me to just to spend like 100m on 5 8att wgs and put in MTS for 5-6k each
but this way is a lot more fun in my opinion

plus my friend uses hpq hack and takes us like no time

None of my friends want to play maplestory. =(. They are all rich friends who enjoy playing WoW which I am too poor to afford and I dont want to risk an IP ban creating my own mules. Also I am betting ONE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS, that nexon is going to notice and ban people taking advantage of this. I made this bet with a neighbor who plays maple.
