DCing after last SC

Ever since the last SC maple's been closing after so many minutes of training.

Nothing happens if I just idle, but if I start training I'm sure to be dced within 15 min.

Tried to use another char. Same bullshit.

Maps I've been training: Ghost Pirates and Duals.

Also, when hunting Anegos on my Shad after SC was finished, I'd also dc after some time. But I did manage to kill one without dcing, though I lost another because of DCing while killing it and then I'd dc after some ch surfing before finally giving up.

Anyone else having this problem (or any similar problem after the SC)?

I was dc'ing a lot before the server check, however part of that is my shittacular internet. I won't be able to check till the weekend to see if it's any better. :|

I've been Dcing frequently ever since the launch of BB. though i can agree than it has gotten worse, much worse than what you have. Sometimes i cant even log into the game without DCing first.

I've tested a bunch of stuff and I still can't pinpoint what's happening.

First of all, I thought it would be somewhat related to % gain, as I'd only DC if I was training and not when I was idling. So I tried earning EXP through quests and see if I'd DC. Yep, DCed after a few minutes of having finished the quest. So I checked the rankings and made that topic on Q&A.

However, that seemed not to the be case, as I could earn EXP through leeching and nothing would happen. Then I proceeded to try traveling around and see if I'd DC. Nope, it would run perfectly. I could go from Ludi to Orbis then Edel and finally Vic without any trouble whatsoever. But then I'd notice that I would DC on a few specific maps even if I didn't hit any monsters. One I can remember is "Way to the Sky" on Ellinia: even if I idled for a few minutes there, I'd DC.

Then I decided to transfer my equips to my HS mule and train there and leech my mains But that didn't work so well, because I DC with my HS mule now. One thing that happened that was weird though, is that the screen would go black and I'd reappear somewhere else on the map (MDTs): as if I'd changed channels - but I was in the very same channel, as my main was still in the map.

So... maybe it's my ISP. But it's really weird as it would only happen right after the last SC. I should be able to test on another one on saturday.

Or maybe one of my equips is cursed

P.S.: as I was writing this, my main account (on a different computer) just got DCed. FML. Also, by "DC" I mean either Maple closes itself and no error message appears or I'd get the "Maplestory has stopped working" error.
P.S.2: I did try reinstalling, cleaning my registry, using another OS (W7 x64 and XP x86), disabling my antivirus, firewall, etc., running as an admin, etc. etc. etc. to no avail. :f'ing7:

What's your main OS? I know if you're using 7 or Vista you have to plantain around with the permissions before it starts right, friend of mine is having problems where his won't boot anymore but he didn't change anything, perhaps a permission got screwed up when the files were updated. All I can think of.

The whole "ID ALREADY LOGGED IN LOLZ" thing. It normally fixes itself after a few minutes.
I just tested stuff all afternoon, no DC's for me. Just laggy after a while from all the people logging on.

Well, just got from 40% to 55% on a lvl114 at DTs (equips still on my HS mule lol) and nothing happened while using another ISP. This gives me hope.

I shall reset my modem when I get home and then update from there. *crosses fingers*

Weeeeeeeeeell... I'm still having DC issues over here.

Tried: reseting modem, reseting router, linking directly from modem (bypassing the router), using Hotspot Shield, using another login for my ISP.

And nothing... N-O-T-H-I-N-G worked.

Oh, right, I used the same laptop to test all this stuff.

And I waited so long for Golden Temple...

what ISP are you using?

well, my ISP is Oi velox, and my OS is win7 ultimate 64bits, i can leave maple on for days, i mean, last time i did it, it showed 6x hours online :f6: and i don't dc at all.

try using google DNS:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

I'm using Speedy and the other place I tested that seemed to work was NET.

I tried changing the DNS but that didn't work either. I'm giving up already: I have absolutely no clue what the f'uck is happening. I'll try to play from somewhere else while GT is here.

speedy is well know to fk with games, they often do traffic shapping. but still weird why you only dc when you get exp.

Although, since I'm an old customer of theirs, the traffic shaping does not seem to affect me. Either way, I'd think that with Hotspot Shield I'd be able to bypass whatever the hell my ISP is doing in order to make Maple work. Oh, and I started DCing even if idling also.

All I can say is that we have a highly developed country (ISP) cost for a very underdeveloped country service. That's brazil, in a nutshell.
