re activate the lie detector
#1
With the whole wild hunter hack going around is it worth having them work again, atm when you enter a players name it doesn't show up on the other users screen. they are still available in the general store in mech town for 10k..

Im not sure how other servers are, but theres at lest 5 maps at jesters and mp3 that have wild hunters botting late at night.

Won't matter either way, the Mine hack is a buff, so the WH isn't "in combat" as far as the game is concerned.

It'd definitely be nice to have them working. I pass at least 15 WH mine hackers a day, and I don't travel very much.

Nahhh. I'd rather have obviously hacked characters to deal with than lie detector spamming for hate purposes.

Lie detectors just send a sort of catcha to the other user, If they fail at it or doesn't input anything in the time alloted he gets returned to Town.

Reimplementing the Lie Detector right now seems like a good idea

It's rather useless considering the hacks these days.
Like Secun said, IRMing can't be lie detectored. And if they aren't IRMing, they're Auto CCing.

@above: Yes, but you can only send a lie detector if they're "in combat" (meaning, that breathing animation). And IRMing doesn't do that.

And for this the should have a Cooldown of 1hr. If they can friggin seal our pots (Chaos Bosses) and Put a pot Cooldown (Dragon Rider, Empress) they can friggin put a 1hr CD on that pomegranate.

But those affect all pots, not just one specific item. I would think that in order to put a cooldown on the lie detector specifically, they'd have to turn it into a skill.

...Which might not be a bad idea.

Believe me, I know what the Lie Detector does and how it works.
But as kremechoko said, it only works if the botter is in the breathing animation. And with It's Raining Mines being a buff instead of an actual attack, it doesn't activate said animation, making Lie Detectors unusable on said botters.

Lie Detector: Lvl 1 Max Lvl 1

Same funtion of a lie Detector.

Needs to have a Lie Detector on your inventory. Each of this skill consume one lie detector.

CD: 1friggin hour.

Well there goes my idea *Throws it at the window"

Use a Summoning Bag then use the Lie Detector?

WH mine hackers just sit on a rope.

Avoided by hanging on a rope.

I have seen another game with a gatcha system for some maps, I guess to avoid botters which would nice but if they do something like that here they should also make us invincible while answering, but people would still hate it due to being unable to afk on some maps plus the whole deal that it appears randomly which would annoy anyone (just when you just made a nice big mob it appears and the mob disperse).

Concerning the lie detector item, it gives you a notice message if you try to use it on someone thats actually "not" doing anything. From the early mech patch days, when I used it on someone who was botting on a rope with the IRM hack (I don't know if this was changed in any way) it actually worked and did not give me that message where it told me that that person must be in combat. I had a friend test it on me and me on him, you can't use it if they're actually not fighting or gaining any xp for that matter. Your item is consumed when it actually is working from my past experience.

Well if the hack changed since then then I guess it wouldn't matter anymore. Even so, the old main functions of the lie detector were turned off so it isn't working like it was supposed to be made for.

You kinda forgot the main reason why it was removed in the first place. People abused it on others to get them killed while fighting mobs. I'd rather have hackers running around than people use that pomegranate on me to get me killed and steal my map / mobs.

This. I would track down every single person that has pissed me off and spam detectors on them.

Lie detectors are an out dated and useless method to stop hackers (especially IRM hackers).
Oh and at above I would do the same thing lol.
