Who else is planning on getting this game when it comes out in NA? Too bad it uses AdHoc Party, so you'd have to get a PS3 to play this online. Notsureifwant. Supposedly, if you pre-order, you get some sort of special content, like another boss or something.

People have claimed it to be a Monster Hunter spin-off, and don't get me wrong, I do own Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and have solo'd to G2 . . . But I can't be swayed by people that say that it is a rip-off just because the battle system and elements are similar. Eventually, everything ends up being THE SAME at some point anyways. People run out of creativity. However, I do like the fast-pacing battle system that GEB has.

MHFU, I get bored with at times because I feel like I'm so slow during certain situations. :/

When I watched the opening of Gods Eater Burst a while ago, I was reminded of the setting of the Shin Megami Tensei series, characters and designs somewhat reminded me of the Persona games, and the gameplay seemed like Monster Hunter; actually.

I was planning on holding off on this one, since Pokemon comes out at a similar time, but the pre-order is really tempting me.

But yeah, I can see why you'd have trouble picking. Sorta. I can't wait til I get this though, if I'm suddenly absent from SP without a single word, that's why. I'm wondering if I can make a female character for the storyline-mode or whatever though. I've only seen gameplay vids with male characters. Ugh.

Also, I DO see a resemblance with this and P3P, especially. The designs and animation seems really similar. Too similar. But like you said, it's MH-esque, not that it's a bad thing, because I loved MH's combat system. OHHH SO MUCH. If only MH's system was as fast as this!

Okay, actually having played til rank 7 on the original GE, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you a couple things.

The game actually ends up feeling nothing like MH. You have to pew pew a lot in harder levels to down Aragamis fast enough. Defense skills with the shield play a huge role afterwards when Aragamis tend to OHKO you a lot.

Female chars are really a lovely eye candy. You can google a few Sakuya Tachibana and Alisa Amiera pics on the internet to see what I mean.

I'm already 90 hours into the game and it's totally worth it, trust me. If you like a nice step up in gameplay speed from Monster Hunter, it's perfect.

Just curious. `-` Wondering if your fellow AIs/NPCs will react to you differently if you were of a female gender. There's not any gameplay vids up on YT that has a female character, so sorry if I'm asking a possibly dumb question.

Yes, you can. I don't think the storyline changes, if at all. The storyline mostly revolves around apocalyptic future and lololol aragami npc.

Edit: Just watched it, amazed how the quality during the fight scene was probably better than most of the Shonen anime I've seen. Watching that got me pumped ; - ; Who is that girl? And what the hell happened at the end..? I can assume it was that "Aragami" powers those characters had. Actually, no, don't tell me who the girl is, that'd spoil everything, I'll just bear this for another 3 weeks until I can get my God Eater. ; -;

WAT. Why is there two? Which is the one that shows up when people see me? I'm assuming it's Codename, but then why does the Name field exist?

Because in-game people call you by your name, and when battling on field you see your ''codename''. Silly Khoi.

Ohhh ok, that was really awkward, because I'm used to just having only 'one' name in a game. >_>; I just named my codename Hikage, and my name as Hikage, just to make my life easier.
