On the topic of runes. Are T2 runes really that bad? I've always read that you get T1 and then IP stack until T3 runes. I'm guessing it's due to the IP cost of T3 or IP stacking for champions?

wutttt i got to 20 like an hour ago and i have no plans to buy runes yet..

Just played Ezreal for the first time and he's awesome. I did really well, but everyone else on my team was like 10+ deaths and there's no carrying that. D:

Its best if you wait until you hit Level 20, because Tier 1 and 2 Runes aren't really worth the money to spend on (the effects it gives aren't good). Plus most players won't get runes until they hit the minimum level needed to obtain Tier 3 Runes. Tier 3 Runes offers a bigger bang for your buck.

And plus, you have time to decide what path you want to take BEFORE you even hit Level 20. That way, you won't waste $ on useless Tier 1/2 runes and therefore have enough to spend on what you actually need for a solid, well-rounded Rune page when the time comes.

Before I look like a hypocrite...brb getting Tier 3 Runes.

T1 Runes give 58% of the benefits of T3 Runes at 8% of the cost. Dirt cheap shyt right there. But one could argue that the effects of your T1 Runes are negligible; you can't exactly load up on a full T1 Runepage before T3 Runes become available.

On the other hand, T3 Runes are the best available in terms of stats and thus why people buy those instead of T2 Runes, which combine the worst things of both worlds. Generally speaking, if there was no cap on how good Runes got, T3 Runes are the worst deal in terms of IP efficiency.

I dunno about that....

But I CAN say that you might earn about ~13K-15K IP (possibly more) from Level 1-20, depending on your wins/losses.

I would guess around 5-7k IP. But it's just a guess.

For reference, I got 6300 IP for Anivia in roughly 14 levels, some of it being spammed on a 2x IP weekend event.

That doesn't count. I haven't seen a 2x IP event come up yet...then again I've been only playing LoL for 2 months now

Well, here's my Rune Page for now....filled up every slot possible. Now I'm debating whether I should spend 2050 IP to fill up my last Quintessence slot. >_>

DAMNNNN just laned with an ez as jax against a mord and a leblanc. TOTAL FAIL we couldnt do anything at all to them and any attempts the leblanc would just nuke us..

I just tried out all of this week's champions, well not all of them, only the ones that looked fun, but still. I didn't really like Ezreal or Malzahar, I had played heim once before and I played it now and it's very fun. I might try karma later but not now, don't feel like playing her, I also played morgana last week and it was fun so I'm deciding if I should buy her or not, specially considering the new Ryze is coming out soon and I wanna try that out.

Sounds similar to a buffed LeBlanc I dealt with this past Saturday. >_>

Shoot, I'll be able to buy roughly 4k/12k runes when I hit 20. Was hoping I could buy all 12 so I could be uber powerful at level 20 .
