For my runes....
I'm 99.9% certain I will be going the tanking route. Are these runes the best for tanking?
- Glyphs/MP Regeneration
- Marks/Armor Penetration
- Seals/Armor
- Quintessence/HP

Personally I would go with Magic Resist per Level Glyphs, but that is because the only tank I play is Shen who doesn't have mana...

tanks do more magic damage than physical. So either get arp to help you last hit or magic pen to increase your spells. You are going to end up with arp and mpen at some point and as for tanking, not a huge deal.
armor/dodge/mana regen are the options for seals. Dodge are super expensive so i dont think they will be the best choice for you. I'd get armor.
magic resist/cooldown reduction/mana regen are the options for glyphs. If you dont play shen, mana regen is a good option to look at. I dont really like the magic resist, in the end its not really providing you with a whole lot(unless my memory of the amount of resist you gain is way off)
Health quints are the way to go for sure. Good on any champ.
Personally, I use mpen/mana regen/cd reduction. If im jungling on a tank that isnt rammus, I use arp/armor/cd reduction.

I was thinking Mana Regeneration for Rammus and Amumu, but Kaj recommended to me:

- Seal/Armor (or actually, he said I could do w/e I want here. But I will 99.9% likely use Armor Seals since Seals give the best boost for armor compared to other types of runes.)

Yeah nothing wrong with that set up. Really just depends on play style. I would never lane with either of those two champs, so the magic resist would be pretty much wasted in a jungling set up.

Except Will doesn't really jungle, if at all.

How important is Dodge? I find it ridiculious that a tank is avoiding damage, which is somewhat ironic.

Xin is amazing and one of my favorite champs. Melee champs tend to be a bit harder to play imo, but xin is one of the strongest and there for a bit easier to learn. I kinda feel like i lost what i wanted to say, but the idea of xin is to charge in at the enemy carry and just blow them up. You can look up the details of his moves on the LoL website, but the idea is the charge the target, use your ult and just chain slow and knock up til they are dead.
Arpen and attack speed are the main stats you want on xin, ghostblade is perfect for him. Also want to build him tanky. There are quite a few little details about him that i could go on and on about but i feel like im starting to ramble and my post has lost all sense of direction.
TL;DR Go play Xin, he is a blast.
Older hotshot clip, was around release when xin was super op, but still a general idea of how xin is played, which hasnt changed. Couldnt find a video of guardsman bob.

This was an awesome game. I won't lie, I honestly thought we were gonna lose at the end. We got an ace and pushed to their last 2 turrets when they all respawned. Shortly after they ended up getting 3 of our guys while we got 1 of theirs, they pushed to our final turrets when we respawned lol
It went back and forth for a long time until we were able to Ace them for the victory.

Your rune choices are fine really.
Also Willis, the point of a tank is to absorb damage for his teammates and frustrate the crap out of the enemies. A dead tank doesn't do any of that. Dodge helps boost your survivability vs. auto-attacks (but not on-hit skills like Siphon Strike), and the only counter to that for an auto-attacker carry is Sword of the Divine's active.

Hm....
So should I have both armor and dodge runes so I can switch off with either one whenever I need it?
And...for Glyphs, should I have both MR (general tanking use) and Mana Regen (for jungling)?

Since we're talking runes, I figured I'd give a link to the guide I've found useful. Just hit lvl 20 and spent all my IP I had saved.

Basically what it says in there is if you want the best bang for your buck, you should go:
Marks: Arm/Magic Pen
Glyphs: Cooldown Red/Magic Resist
Seals: Dodge/Magic per 5 Regen
Quints: Flat HP
It costs 31k IP for all of that, but it provides the best general stats for a majority of characters. Of course if you only play a few characters, and have no interest in any others, then you can customize your rune pages to what you prefer for the characters you play.

Flat HP quints aren't as effective anymore (17 HP difference with 3x quints) combined with the HP gained on lvl up system, but this is speaking from a higher level of play where clutch plays happen a lot more. They're still pretty badass in that virtually anyone can use them and still be effective though.
Ever since I got a new runepage where I could use my MS quints from the Christmas event, I saw how much of an edge it gave me in laning phase when it comes to dancing between avoidable skills and just out of casting range when my foes want to harass me. I've respected my support runepage (basically my caster page with AP quints), and I'm seriously considering an MS runepage for carries as well.
Though I don't recommend MS quints to anyone that doesn't have sufficient experience with the game.

Huh, when I try to set a normal game, it doesn't let me. And if I go for custom, it shows last week's champions, no Mal or Ez.
Edit: nvm, restarted LoL and it shows the new ones.

Ya if you dont see new rotations and others are reporting its changed you can relog and they should show
EU servers are currently messed up with all queues disabled/enabled randomly. Theres problems like every other day its a bit stupid lol..
