New job suggestion? And what's the strongest job post BB out there? >:/
#1
post underwent major revamp since worthyness is breathing down my neck.

Let's keep things objective. Finding suggestion job with good bossing capabilities (and im less of a training person, done that enough while grinding my bs).

Planning to wash the character thoroughly, and building up proper weapons/equips. since obviously I dont have enough funds for washing experiment characters, I hope you can give your input on this matter. I'm a person that prefers to build a character to the best i can get it to be, and not splitting my resources over many chars.

Comparing the following jobs in terms of bossing (think chaos zk, chaos HT, pb):
1. Arans
2. DBs
3. Mechs
4. Paladins

may I know which char is versatile in your opinion?

Also want to know wads the current job ppl vote as the strongest one out there. Not that I want to make that job, but just so that I have a rough idea and dont say rubbish in future. tried finding "highest DPS post BigBang" and several variations of that, but the search gives me "Big Bang" mage skill discussion, and other irrelevant results...

not to be mean or anything, but about 4 posts below this is a thread called "Jobs that are fun to play". You may want to look a little harder before you make a new thread...

kay, removed the fun factor so as to not repeat precious topics? better that way too, since fun is subjective. I know the skills and stuff of the other jobs, but im lacking the hands-on experience, hence rendering me unable to choose a job lol.

I'm pretty sure that thread also discusses what you want. I haven't looked at it in a while. It's too early for "zomg high DPS PLZ" classes, so don't worry about that too much. Like i said read through that thread and it should cover pretty much ALL of what you are asking.

nope it didnt. the guy had fixed mindset about either aran/bucs, and hes in it for the fun of playing his chars. and it didnt mention the question i asked regarding the DPS. Many asked whether that guy consider "high dmg" as "fun", without mentioning what is classified under high dmg job.

Mechanics are the highest DPS, hands down, if that's what you want.

4. Paladins

1. Low DPS, not that useful on a party... Eh... Unless you really like Arans... Wait for Chaos update or make another character.

2. Great for training, but there're better classes for bossing. Probably the strongest class post-Chaos update. Godlike evasion, mobbing, 1v1... and a nice NX price tag attached to it, also.

3. Best class in GMS right now, hands down. Too bad it gets nerfed later. Anyways, even with the nerf it's probably the most versatile class in the game. Portals, Healing Robots, full map DEF debuff, auto attacking robots, party damage amplifier... Mechanic is a godly support class AND have the top DPS. However, low HP can be a real problem, even with Mechanic's HP and DEF boosting skills.

4. No quick training or godly damage, but a good bosser. Surviving isn't a problem when you have godlike DEF, high DEF and Guardian, Divine Shield and Achilles. Threaten, Magic Crash and Combat Orders make Paladins useful for bossing parties.

--> With the upcoming 4k HP potion, mech will have about 9k HP unwashed at lvl120. Viva la Nexon... :+)

AFAIK, Arans have low DPS compared to other classes.

I can't say anything for the other classes, but paladins are pretty versatile and fun; however, I personally found them to be pretty dull up until they have all three charges and charged blow maxed. Early levels aside, their shield mastery gives them three times the normal defense of warriors, and with power guard, guardian, divine shield, achilles, and stance they have little trouble shrugging off even the most devastating attacks (which makes washing kind of redundant and thus saves money). Their charges are also very fun to use because they add a slight strategic element to the game, which Maple is in desperate need of in my opinion, and they aren't anywhere near as weak as they used to be. The only downside is that, unlike mechs, they have no mobility at all and it can be a pain to navigate in large maps without riding a mount (I wouldn't really consider having a use for mounts to be a bad thing, but mounts turn off power guard).

Here's my usual post about telling people to have fun when playing.

Any class can be strong with the right equip, what people need to realize is that there's ALWAYS going to be someone better than you.

The main thing that comes down is funds. This is turning out like the thread "why are heroes so weak"

I wonder if some of you aren't reading the original post or what... but he's not asking for most fun. He said he wants to know which of the four classes is strongest (given the same funding). He also asked for which character is the most versatile (in your opinion).

So the whole "Just make a fun character" answer:
1)doesn't help the thread starter
2)isn't answering anything regarding the purpose of this thread

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

DBs, Mechs, and Paladins are all pretty versatile. The strongest one so far is mechs; plenty of people rage towards them at the moment. Come chaos that might change to DBs, but I'm not exactly sure on that one.

If you wash a mech you'll love using it. If you don't, it's annoying having to pot while using siege mode because you miss out on a few shots. But luckily you said you'd wash it properly so you wont have to deal with that so much.
