Also does every champion get the "Free Week" spotlight eventually in the year or is it usually just a majority of them?
There's been a couple 3150 champs I've had my eye on for a while now, but having multiple game losses kinda puts a damper on getting to them.

All champions get to go on rotation eventually, but there are a few factors that determine how often they show up on the rotation, mainly:
--How difficult they are to play for noobs/how easy they are to learn.
--How much of a pubstomper they are. 2x if they have long duration stealths like Twitch and Evelynn.
--How fun they are to play. Your guess is as good as mine as to how this is determined...

Champions like Anivia, LeBlanc, Shaco, Twitch, Rammus, etc. rarely show up. So if you're wanting to try them out, do so ASAP.

Well I tried a game as Rammus, which was a terrible decision, not because I couldn't play him, but because my team sucked at doing anything together. I'd try to tank/initiate for them, and I'd end up getting focused by 4 or 5 of the other team while they screwed around. It was painful. >_< Though I definitely didn't do anywhere near as well as I could have, I ended at 3/9/8. Which sounds bad, but somehow was better than anyone else on my team except for our yi who was the only one who seemed to even try to help.

Second game went much better, I went back to Cho'Gath and though the other team was doing fairly well, a couple of times we managed to do things better. The one I'm most proud of was bottom lane, Hermdinger and I were laning together, but because of the way things had gone, I had gone up top lane to help while they backed. After they got back, I went and helped Yi push mid for a bit, then after I came down, he followed. So Hermdinger had gotten Morgana and Le Blanc down, but not dead. We got Le blanc fleeing from us, and then for Morgana, I ran back drawing turret and spells, while Yi went to town on her. I got out of tower range with about 1/4 health and so did Yi. There were a few other nice plays, but I was just glad I was able to tank fairly perfectly that one time. Be nice if all my games had a nice play like that.

1-2 in ranked now, lost my game today due to a fail closure of an in the bag game. Fucking raged at that one.

Well it doesn't really matter until you hit 20-30.

You shouldn't be buying runes until you hit 20. Once you hit 30 you should be buying lots of chars that pique your interest. Before 30 it doesn't really matter.

Played a terrible game with Cho where we had one leaver, one semi leaver, and a jax that was well fed on the opposite team. It was terribad, not much I could do about it as tank though.

After that, I played a decent game as AP Teemo, ended up with 6/2/1. He's pretty powerful late game, but his early game probably isn't quite as strong due to his lack of damage. A bit longer of a game and I expect I'd have an even higher score.

I seem to be a mage player, I played fiddle before annie, and before that I liked Ryze and Veigar but didn't really play them more than once or twice, I plan on buying them later though.

Finally got a non-stupid team and a damn good one at that, granted the gangplank on our team ragequit after feeding their Ashe + Nidalee 5 freaking times.

I have to admit, I'm having a lot more fun with Annie than Ashe. I think the main problem I'm having at the moment is finding better late / end game items. By the end I ended up having 3x Rod of Ages, mainly due to the +HP/MP.

Annie isn't exactly a late-game champion. Her best value still happens to be the AoE stundrop from Tibbers.

Alright, brainstorm time... did I finally find a niche where Wit's End was actually useful?
Me (Irelia) and Cho'Gath were solo mid, they didn't have a jungler. While we can both last a long time in lane, in the long-run Cho'Gath just 1-ups Irelia in that he still has mana and can still farm, while I can't keep up the DPS to threaten his laning without expending too much mana. So I decided to take away his ability to farm by sapping him of mana, then I put on my trollface.jpg. This wasn't a mid-game thing, this was a lane phase thing. I RUSHED Wit's End.

You definitely should have picked up at least one Rabadon's Deathcap. The unique passive ability (30% more AP) plus it's already high AP (+155) make it one of the best AP items in the game. Another item you could have gotten for more burst would be a Deathfire Grasp which gives +60 AP, +10 MP per 5, unique passive 15% cooldown reduction, and a unique active that deals damage based upon a percentage of the target's current health with a paltry 1 minute cooldown.

By end game with annie I usually have: Sorcerer shoes, Rod of ages, Rabadon's deathcap, Archange staff, Void Staff and Rylai's Scepter, sometimes I get a Banshee's veil but rarely, I just build full attack and most of the time can kill anyone with a q/r/w/q if I stun them.

Just bought him today and holy crap he is so much fun to play. His q is so strong early and i really like his e(pillar) although in the last game i dropped the pillar right on galio(my teammate) during his ult and messed that up thinking it was the enemy nunu ulting. I went 4-1 with him, jungling. I start a mini golems with cloth and 5 pots. Clear the mini camps then blue then wraiths and mini golem again. go back and buy, get red and then look for a gank or two. I have been using 1/14/16 masteries with arp/armor/cd/health quints. He has almost no mana issues what so ever even without blue/regen runes. I have been building latern, boots, tri force, banshees. Also built last whisper a couple times depending on other team. Didnt really get a ton of kills in any of the games, but was pretty strong at pushing towers and defending our towers. Only issue i have had with him really is just playing vs rene/cho and seeing how fucking strong they are, makes any other tanky melee champ seem kinda pointless.

Ryze is lackluster. Especially when you could just pick another AoE caster such as kennen or annie and do more for the team.

Wow those reworks look nice though, I look forward to trying him out now.

I saw a Rammus chase someone all the way across the map and still kill the person. Poor bloke.

Won 2 ranked games today with bob duoing with me, one of the games was a 4v5 in the enemy's favor too.

3-2 now.

Seems like people are getting into ranked games now.

For the record, I refuse to participate in ranked for the following reasons:
--Can't see Pantheon's ultimate. Derp!
--Terrain modifier spells can create invisible barriers in the grass that the opposing team cannot pass through, but your team can.
--Apparent connection issues with Riot's servers. While I haven't had the problem, I've seen a good 40% of my normal games affected by this in one way or another. That's really high. I dread to think what it might be like in ranked (I would guess 10%).

I've been experiencing them as well, I decided to try reinstalling to see if that helps. I think it's probably a server side problem, but it's the only thing I could think of that might help. I think it's also dependent on time of day, because if I play in the early hours of the morning, I seem to have less problems. I dunno, it's just ruined a lot of games for me at this point, and ruined other people's games as well.
