Item Stat Ranges

A long time ago, I heard somewhere that item stat ranges can be calculated thus:
average stat +- [floor(average stat/10) + 1]
So a white valentine rose, with 49 average attack, has a range of
49 +- [floor(49/10) + 1]
49 +- 5
44~54 att.
Also, items gained from Gachapon have a stat range of:
average stat +- [floor(average stat/10) + 3]

These formulas have been consistent with all items I've encountered, but I just wanted to know if these have ever been confirmed. Anyone know?

100 +/- 11 attack.

While on the subject of this, was the equip base stat generator changed at all or was I just really lucky to find 7 above average Mdef Rose Earrings (of all the things :<). I'm pretty sure the highest I'd seen on that item pre-BB was 5 above.

Also this isn't consistent with items with +stats on them. From observation, +stats seem to have a much smaller range than other bonuses (Wdef/Mdef/attack and the like).

The range is determined by the item's level. A higher level item will have a higher range. That's as far as the BMS files will tell me.

There were some slight inconsistencies with this formula. The one that comes to mind is Scarabs possibly having up to 39 w.atk clean (34 average) though I can't recall ever finding one like that myself.

Anyway, yeah, it's supposedly like that up until +-5 from average stats, before BB the most you could get outside gachapon. After BB, I dunno. I check my items' stats before dropping/NPCing them but I haven't seen anything amiss on a stat that counts.

And I don't think Gacha can add as much stats as you said, though there's a strong lack of info on items with 10~40 stats.
PACs 2 watk average, max +2 (4 atk)
PGCs 3 watk average, max +2 (5 atk)
PuACs 7 matk average, max +2 (9 matk) etc.

Higher level weapons, max +7 (eg. Sky Skis, 94 atk, max 101?)

Post-Item Maker it's impossible to tell what drops or comes from gach on weapons that can be makered - they forge up to +11 (with adv. bc/diamond and good luck).

Hmm, well it's always worked out for me on items with +stats on them.
E.g.
Red Whip is +15 speed average.
15 +- [floor(15/10) + 1]
15 +- 2
13~17 speed.

Doesn't work out.

I haven't had much time to check out equips of higher levels, and a range of +- 11 seems quite too high anyway. I thought it worked out great for lower level equips though.. :f6:

Well this formula seems pretty consistent with all the lower level items I've found, so I'm just going to assume that at some point as the items get higher level with higher stats, the formula changes.

I found a 102 att nisrock at targa, norm is 95 so a +7 above average
