Favorite video game characters of each gender?

Post one video game character of each gender (male, female, robot, etc.) that rank #1 in your opinion, state which game they're from and the reason why you like them.


Male : Link from the Legend of Zelda series. This one is an obvious choice for me. Link is the character I grew up with. I played the Zelda games for as long as I can remember. Besides, you have to admit that he's a total badass.

Female : Samus Aran from the Metroid series. I don't know of any woman that could out class her. She's the most badass bounty hunter of her type I've ever seen and it adds so much to it that she's female. She's even sexy. What's not to like about Samus?

Male: Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake. It takes a special kind of man to be badass/rugged like him. Girls obviously want him, and yet he even makes guys proclaim their love for him cause he's that GAR.

Female: Samus. Bar none.

Male: Richter Belmont

Female: Samus pre-Other M

Male: Gold in Pokemon by far.

Female: Lara Croft, but only to hump. I've never actually played any of the games.

Male: Reid Hershel
Female: Minako from Persona 3. That's not really her name, it's a fan-given name because she has no name. She is known as "FemMC" (Female Main Character), and she lives in a world opposite of Minato's world. She's shown to be given a more kind personality and gentle side, in comparison to Minato, though, I like Minato as well. Minako's one of those leader chicks that kicks ass. I can probably write up a couple paragraphs to sum up my feelinz for this character, but I won't.

Male: Megaman X (X1, X2, X3).

Female: Princess Daisy.

Other: Magneton.

I actually liked Minako. Why so much hate. The only thing that I disliked was that they copy-pasta'd the majority of Minato's story and changed some minor things to make Minako ; A ; I still like her, regardless.

PS: Did you see the ending of FES in regards to Yukari's feelings for Minato? P3 was hinting it off and on, but there were never really specifics in regards to their "relationship", and FES really showed the audience that they CLEARLY had a relationship.

Well, if you finish the ''LOVERS'' s.link, lol, you get to be with Yukari in a much more intimate way than you are with every other girl. She was the one that was hurt the most about

and everything. Plus, there's a pretty funny doujinshi about Yukari and MaleMC that sums up FES history pretty well... in a hentai way.

Yeah, that was the thing. Once you finish the game, it's a major BAAAWfest for Yukari, can't blame her though. In Akihiko's and Shinjiro's case, it's not as dramatic, but..

Shinjiro only awoke on the day that Minako died, only to carry her right in his arms.. and having her die right then and there. He's going to die eventually anyways, but still, not the point. Can't debate which ending is more sad, but I'd have to say Yukari's was more unfortunate because Minato promised to be with her during the Lovers S-link. I only know this from watching a buncha vids, I still haven't done a lot of social links with Minato yet. I'm doing a 2nd playthrough as Minako at the moment.. oh, and I got to lv 99.

Male: Professor Layton, a fine example of a true gentleman.

Runner-ups would include Minato, The King of All Cosmos, and Bang Shishigami.

Female: Momohime

Runner-up is definitely Samus. I would say I have a few more, but it doesn't seem right to lump them with Samus.

Other: Metagross

Female: Tie between Princess Peach and Rosalina. Whoever played Galaxy 1 could probably see why I even chose Rosalina.

Yukari is so Tsundere, I swear. I was debating on whether she could have been considered Tsundere or not, and I think it's a bit more evident if you play as Minato. With Minako, you miss out on a lot of Yukari action. Yet, if you play as Minako, there's that one scene with Shinjiro, which was f`ucking HILARIOUS.
