I think one would be hard pressed to not find any zombie related games/movies that could inspire this in at least the past 10 years.

The approach to the game seems to be relatively different to other zombie games. It focuses on actual survival more-so than plowing the enemy away with an infinite rocket launcher or Gatling gun.
