Remix - Temple of Time
#1
Hello Maplers! This is my second Maplestory remix, a medley of the different areas in the Temple of Time. Currently a mathematics and music double major, I put a lot of time into this, so I hope you like it.
Video is here
Listen to a higher quality downloadable version of the song at http://tindeck.com/users/JZ+Wafflemelon

Some notes of interest:
I played the Regret theme on my oboe, and am currently majoring in oboe performance.
I named my bunny after my brother's Maplestory character.
I was recognized by the Maple Times for my first Maplestory remix, Lith Harbor.
I enjoy roller-blading and do it often through campus, much to the surprise of my fellows.
I don't think I'll do another Maplestory remix next, but I probably will eventually, possibly Orbis or some other theme.
If you liked this, please take the time to visit my channel, with such remixes as Saria's Song (The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time), a few Sonic the Hedgehog medley remixes, and a few random things.

Check me out on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/jzwafflemelon.

Hope you have a nice day. Happy Mapling!

After the second part, it could use less MIDI and more real instruments. They sound too 808ish.

I loved your Oboe playing. I thought it was phenomenal.
Keep up the good work, I really enjoyed this!

The beginning of the remix of Oblivion reminded me of Paper Mario, Bowser's castle. Tongue

Sorry I mindslipped at that hour and I should've explained myself better. I meant 404ish, as in TS404 sounds. TS404 sounds are pretty generic and a lot of MIDI sounds emulate it.

It's a synthesizer:

S'ok, I mindslipped too and thought you said 80, not 808. But yeah, I didn't know that, thanks for the explanation.

What mic did you use =| I'm looking for one to do some recordings for several musical instruments.

There's a story behind that... I ended up using my iMac's build in microphone, which worked pretty well. Luckily, the added reverb and background made the mic sound better than it actually was (though I was surprised at how well it worked in the first place).

Nice Oboe playing! I play trumpet, and I've always wanted to do something like this - though I have no real talent when it comes to editing music, so I've decided against it.
