Lag/DC issues in Windia server only.

Hey SP,

Recently I moved into my college dorm and Maple seems to have lag/dc issues when I play on Windia. I would lag for 10-15 seconds straight and eventually I would get the "Maplestory has stopped working" message. It was working fine at my house before I moved into my dorm.

At first, I thought it was a problem with the dorm's internet connecting to Western servers vs. Eastern servers because El Nido was fine. Then I logged into my Scania character and experienced no problems either. Only Windia seems to be giving me this lag/dc issue.

I'm using Vista, though I do not think this is the issue because I play fine without lag on other worlds.

Is there anything I could do to fix this?

I always lag in town on my laptop since last few patches ago. I don't have the same problem on a more powerful desktop.

That isn't the problem here. I can play Scania and El Nido perfectly fine.

Update: After several more observations, it seems some of my characters are just getting locked out from the servers right after logging in. The affected characters would get a massive lag where I am able to move freely (sometimes my screen just freezes) but unable to enter portals or chat.

Currently this has affected 3/8 characters I play under the same account. It's always those same 3 characters I play that have this problem while the other 5 experienced absolutely no issues. I strongly believe this is now a character issue rather than a server one.

It is not my internet or computer. I was on all day yesterday on 2 of the characters that didn't experience any problems and once I tried logging on one of the affected 3, I instantly froze.

I have filed a ticket to Nexon regarding this problem, but so far still no luck. If anyone experienced something similar and have a fix for it, I would be greatly appreicated.
