What MS needs are more PQ that are actually enjoyable to do. The last time a PQ was released, was the Alien one and was a event only thing (but most likely its coming back when Nexon bring backs the NPC), Most people enjoyed (but frustrated at the same time) the PQ because it was challeging not like the cookie cutter Pqs that we have now.

it bothers me when people defend maplestory by saying its just like all "other" games.
video games have a grading scale just like all entertainment and maplestory is mediocre at best.
maplestory has an attractive art style, its visually appealing and pulls people in. most people who continue to play it (as i have, off and on) has been attributed to social connections made via the game... with little about the game itself. when looking at the games content; its not about an "adventure" or experience any longer. maple sets its self up very early on. you grind and everything is grinding. ranking and status. what level are you. what items do you have. how much money do you have. how many chairs do you have. so much focus of the game goes into the player spending countless hours to "upgrade" their status in the game. the challenge is how much time you can spend playing and that's it.
the timing and balance of progression in maple has always been awful. with many other mmo's, you can play for awhile and feel at least somewhat accomplished. the game isn't constantly antagonizing you to keep whittling away. maple is a time vacuum that tries to suck someone into being glued to one task or another. while this is keystone to all mmo's to a degree... very few do it to the extreme that maple does.
when i started maple it wasn't nearly as vapid. the game now lacks any real purpose. you can already one or two hit everything; how about spending more so you can see pretty numbers that really mean or do nothing?
the social aspects in old maple were appealing. forming parties to train or boss... thats been all but done for a long time minus bossing. now... why not cube yourself strong and solo all the bosses.
maple does have a few bright features that break the overall mold of what maplestory is, but its few and far between. playing maplestory from a casual perspective is the best eyes to keep on this game. taking such a shallow game serious kills any real positive entertainment value this game can have.
seeing these new items like pam songs and enhancement protection scolls... the game really is entering its twilight era. everything can be bought and nexon has completely sold the game out. L> maple 2

The purpose... there is no purpose. You just play, have fun, and when you feel you've had enough for the day, you log out.
