rofl @ Guardian's Crusade, Khoi, good call. I'm pretty sure they used their entire budget on the fairy's hair.
I wish I could find a hard copy of that game. Only ever been able to emulate due to it's rarity.
Edit: also please put LAST BATTLE and ENDING spoilers in the spoiler titles. A bunch of those are final battles. Shouldn't really need to request this.
That entire game was nothing but boss battles.
It's an auto-win.
Personally I loved/hated the f'uck out of the final boss in .hack//infection, as it took too many tries to defeat it.
Then there was Gnasty Gnorc, and the other less memorable bosses from the rest of the two other good spyro games.
Mid-Boss from Disgaea.
Others escape me.

Yeah, I didn't really get why the animation in-game was so choppy during battles, walking around towns, etc. But when the cinematics starts, it's like "OMG DECENT".
???
Makes no sense. But still, it's a pretty good RPG. A unique one for it's time, imo. I should have put "final boss" or something on my spoiler tags too, yeah, forgot about that. I think I only have around 3 final bosses fights up there, ugggh...
Believe it or not, the GBA remake was dumbed down compaired to how hard they were on the Ps1 remake.
7th Saga final battle
Spoiler
This boss battle would make you piss yourself from how hard it would be with a lv 5X character

This sh'it gets pretty intense on Expert mode. This clown makes it look easy though.
Holy balls, I totally forgot about this game. When I was younger, I just pussied out and used the chaser+fireball gun on that boss.
Not really a hard boss (then again, no boss in Yoshi's Island was hard), but it was a fun fight.

Contra: Alien Wars Stage 3 boss
Shi`tty quality vid but it's the only one I found that cuts to the chase
Wow, thanks for that Raphael the Raven video. I always loved him in Paper Mario but thought he was kind of random; awesome to see he had a presence beyond that cameo.
This thread sure does remind me how poor my memory is. I've played so many of these games, but I can't recall those specifics of the battles. I remember the areas they all happened in, yet certain details like the enemy moves and appearances have been lost to me. Also, wow, the memory I have left seemed to have glamorized things. I thought the UI in several of those older ones that I fondly remember was a bit... better.
Spoiler
As for me, most of the Chrono Trigger bosses remain fondly in my memory. The robot on the bridge, Magus, the underground demon that destroyed the forest of the past, that tyrannosaur thing before lavos's initial visit; and of course lavos himself.
Asides from those, I honestly don't have a favorite, but I'll try and pull up some vids that I hope not to be too common (You know, like Giygas).
Terrenigma
This was the only fun boss in the entire game. You had to use the dual hookshot at least 3 or 4 times before you were even high enough to take on this massive dragon. My eyes were beaming with anticipation as I hookshoted my way through the sky like fucking Spider Man, slinging from one platform to the next. The music for the battle was, for lack of a better word, epic in its tone and perfectly caught the tenor of the fight as a thunder storm raged in the background and I was fighting this beast thousands of feet in the air. Everything about this battle; the magnitude, the awesome use and reinvention of the hookshot and the amount of variety packed into this one single battle made that game for me. I place this boss fight above all of the ones found in OOT and MM.
