PSP2 CONFIRMED!!(?)

Baklava Wrote:Also, the PSP is a crap ton more powerful than the DS but why does it not have any games.

lulul okay now I'm just trolling.

Either the genre of game selections doesn't interest you or you're looking at the wrong titles. PSP has a ton of underrated titles that are actually great games. You just have to look real hard to find them lol

There's no way that NGP resolution is right. Hold your hands up to the screen and try and wrap them around it. That's enormous.

No they're bigger than that. As is my PSP screen, which means that image is entirely useless.

Baklava Wrote:I can make the same argument going through the DS's library.
You can't honestly say that the DS was a terrible system because it doesn't meet today's "graphic requirement." That's just being flat out ignorant.

The Kid Icarus trailer looks to be on-par with the PS2. It looks a LOT better than many of the early PS2 offerings, for two.
Also, should I bring up Tales of the Abyss 3DS? Just from one trailer and a few screenshots, it looks a lot cleaner than TotA for the PS2.

Also, Music/Rhythm games are hella funner on the DS than the PSP. There's just more interaction involved that makes it a better experience than your garden variety button presses.

And for the last time, I'm not saying the PSP didn't have good games. I'm just saying that the amount of good, original games on the PSP is a needle in a haystack comparison. It's a handheld PSX/2 emulator in retrospect.

Kidding me right?

 Taiko no Tatsujin DS

 Taiko no Tatsujin 2 PSP

HELL HAVE YOU SEEN A DJ MAX ON A PSP

If the DS had enough good rhythm games I'd have one, trust me.

I'll just drop the rest of the argument, we can argue whatever we want, I just don't dig the gaming experience the DS offers, sorry.

That's out of question, 3DS is OBVIOUSLY gonna dominate the handheld market. Nintendo should announce a new console soon too. The Wii is far from its best years.

Yes, Taiko No Tatsujin is an awesome game, but I don't like the DS version that much.

Where were you at from like.. '84-'99? Nintendo ruled over console gaming with an iron fist.

d

That's not the one I was talking about, because it had like a sliding thing and I don't remember what else.
But yeah, I like the tapping better than button pressing. It just feels more interactive, and by proxy, rewarding, to me.

But okay, if you don't like what the DS has, that's fine I don't care...but talking down it's specs and whatever else just to prove a point about how you like the PSP is more or less dumb.

I could do that but I don't feel like it because I'm civilized more or less.
I'm just saying, if the PSP used its power to make enough game-play brilliant games and less interactive novels, then it could have rivaled the DS better.

Early SEGA fans would like to have a word with you, really. After the PSX and the N64 that's another story.

Sonic Spinball was a sick game. Oh, the memories, the Genesis had such great games. Sadly not many RPGs but eh.

The NGP will come in two versions. One with 3G, and one without it. Both will have WiFi. 3G will have a cost.

More here.

Dreamcast is by far, still my favorite console that isn't a handheld. The graphics were amazing considering it's competition at the time of it's release. Sonic Adventure is a great game on the DC, PSO really was another great one that I couldn't let go either. I still remember playing PSO on DC, and connecting to Europe's online servers to chat and co-op with people. At the time, I was a Freshman in High School too. This was about 8 years ago.

I'm really considering the NGP. Looks amazing. Won't be a first person to buy it, but after a couple of months.
