Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Unleashing Wrote:Idk, would be unfair for me to participate, veigar was one of my first chars f3.
And i don't like singed.. And i barely play LoL, so i wanna let others have a chance Big Grin

Singed is also a good semi-tank disabler, he can disable a ton!

Veigar is actually unrelated to the first question =D I may drop another hint later if no one gets it by tonight.

I know that.
But he isn't completely unrelated.
KajitiSouls Wrote:A tank's job is never easy Ray.

I meant relatively. Shen, for instance, is something I probably wouldn't be good at because of how bad I am at using his ult.
Unleashing Wrote:I know that.

Technically he is. We'll just leave it at that.

I should mention that to get full point value for the first deadline, you have to be specific and precise. Half-assing it doesn't work.
anyone around that wants to play? I'll be online in 10 minutes or so. Msg porchcat.
The first one is kind of really easy. >_>
New champ!

Holy crap this game was fun, I was great for the first time I did great things, I saved people millions of times with fear/silence, I killed people with ultimate very nicely, it was awesome!

Only things I failed at was using the deathcap active, I used it once and then forgot about it, oh and I could've saved myself from one of the deaths but I didn't... thought about it when I was dead (2 of the deaths I was ganked, but the other one I was running with like 3 hp left from Dr.Mundo and I should've used exhaust (I had no mana either, saddly, that death took me off my Legendary).
Ugh, I need a MF build. The one's on the forums aren't helping too much and her recommended items do not make her very good.
Female champ without breasts that make Barbie blush?
Whenever I see Miss Fortune I think of Olivia Wilde, or another actress that looks a lot like whose name I can't recall.
popular:

doran blade / hp pot -> boots1 + doran(s) + hp pot(s) + ward(s) on 1st b -> bf sword & boots2 -> finish IE -> items you like (bv, black cleaver, starks, bloodthirster, GA) that are appropriate

me:

boots1 / 3 hp pot -> (bf sword or pickaxe) + vamp scepter + mr/mercs -> finish IE -> black cleaver and/or (bv or ga) -> bloodthirster

im not a fan of doran items personally. and i tend to harass w/ double up a lot. and my runes are arpen+mana regen.
Doran's Blade is quite possibly one of the best items in the game. For 435 gold you get 100 HP (that's a 25% HP boost for Ashe almost), +8 damage (+1 bonus with Havoc on Ashe when I get it as the first item), and 3% lifesteal. Three of them net you 300 HP, 24 damage, and 9% lifesteal. Considering that those slots would most likely be empty otherwise, Doran's Blade rules.

I don't know... I don't like doran's that much either, at least with fiddlesticks I get much better results starting with 20 AP book.
Doran's Blade is debatable since it's pretty good compared to Ruby crystals/Long swords/Vampiric Scepter, but I rarely get more than 1 at the start anyway, since you can't make anything off them later.
and after playing at least 1000 games as ashe, i still like boots better as a first item and to rush bf sword. that is simply a matter of preference. sure im squishier, but im used to it and im not wasting 435 gold on an item that builds to nothing late game.

you play for early game, i play for late game. and thats a metagame shift thats been happening for the past year, more towards shorter games. it used to be that at least half of my games would last 45+ minutes, and that just isnt true any more.
I don't understand why boots are even a viable starting item for Ashe, care to explain?

EDIT : Darkmaniak, I don't think stacking any Doran's item other than Blade is worth it. Blade gives you lifesteal, increasing your survivability in a lane. If the person I'm up against recalls when we're both at ~50% HP, he comes back with full HP, I usually have ~60-75% HP and a gold and experience advantage. Doran's Ring gives you... mana regen. If it gave spell vamp. then stacking them may be viable.

Doran's blade isn't very used/great because lifesteal early on does very very little to benefit regen of your life and it encourages auto attacking instead of last hitting.
Doran's shield on the other hand gives you around 100 hp regen a minute and armor that mitigates auto attacks slightly, not to mention 20 more hp than other Doran items.
It gives damage, on carries that alone is important. I can take off half of anyone's HP right at level 1 with a true damage crit + volley. Forces them to play defensively. Doran's Blade is an offensive item, Doran's Shield is a defensive item, that's how I see it.
Kurtle Wrote:Ugh, I need a MF build. The one's on the forums aren't helping too much and her recommended items do not make her very good.

Start with doran's blade and a health pot.

Get as many last hits as possible. By this I mean DONT AUTO ATTACK ANYTHING, WAIT UNTIL THE MINION(S) IS ABOUT TO DIE AND HIT IT FOR THE GOLD.

Stay in your lane for as long as possible (mid or top solo) and farm as much gold as possible.

When you go back you want to start building your infinity edge. Depending on how much gold you have you will buy either: BF sword, Pickaxe, or more dorans blades.

If you have 1850 or more buy the BF sword. If you can afford a pickaxes but not the bf sword, buy that. If you have any gold left over after buying any of these get a pickaxe if you got the BF sword first, if you don't have enough/ already have your pickaxe buy another dorans blade or two. Pretty much just buy whatever items you can for the infinity edge and spend leftovers on up to 2 dorans blades.

Once you finish the IE go for shoes. You'll normally be getting mercury's treads because they're better than berserker greaves on her.

After that is finished, you have a small variety of items to choose from.

-Last whisper
-Black cleaver
-Phantom Dancer
-Bloodthirster

DEFENSIVE:
-Banshee's veil
-Guardian angel

When you get your defensive item (only get one of the two) depends on how the game is going and how often you die/ have to go back. If you think you need it, get it.

Then just keep buying offensive items (listed above).

Max out Q as fast as possible, taking R whenever possible and adding into W whenever you can't get Q or R. Keep E at level one from lv 4 until you have to dump points.

@ Ray: Dorans ring is as good for stacking as Blades are. Only on mages, obviously.
More than 1 dorans item is wasted
Dorans blade is best used on akali to activate one of her passives with a Atk dmg quint gives spell vamp added on to the life steal. Great survivability early game and never have to buy a AD item till end game
