Well I have two losses as Cho under my belt now. First game, well I'll just say it was a bit of a mess on both sides, with one guy on the other team who built a Tyrnadmere into a monster that would take all of our team to take out . . . and then one of our people left, so that just became quite difficult indeed. I had built towards magic resist first as I was laning against Vlad and Veigar, but in hindsight, I should have just focused purely on armor if I wanted any hope of stopping that Tyrnadmere . . . which even that might not have been enough as I'm sure he had pretty good armor penetration.

Second one was more even, and I did pretty good with an 8/4/8, but after our early victories, we ended up losing some team battles/getting picked off as one vs several people. After that they just kept pushing us back and destroying towers.

Gotta say I knew being a Tank was hard, but it's even harder sometimes because you have to rely on someone else doing the heavy damage. I'm going to keep at it, to see if I can get better at it, though I still hope I can get more practice in with Yi.
Someone took Ashe, and I had decided earlier that I was going to try something new instead of just using Veigar/Blitzcrank. I picked Tristana, at first I HATED it, but later in game... very late, I got used to her and sort of liked her a little, but I think I'm sticking to ashe/veigar for now.
I forgot to do this a while back.

Even better yet, go to http://clgaming.net/index.php?page=livestream to see the list of active LoL livestreams in a much more compact format.

Tough tryndamere? All you need for him is a thornmail and some ignite and good game to him.
Duelman Wrote:Tough tryndamere? All you need for him is a thornmail and some ignite and good game to him.

I was in the process of getting it, but by that time he was already well fed at 15-20+ kills. He ended up with over 30 by the end of the game, so you can imagine how crazy his items were by then. The rest of his team was garbage in comparison, with one person griefing on their side by feeding us kills, and the other team members usually just mopping up after him or in some cases, getting killed in order to keep him alive. Of course the griefer didn't change much as it was our Malphite who left. If he had been around, I think we coul have made a rather significant difference in the outcome of several later fights. And of course, if that wasn't enough, our Yi didn't even try to backdoor, so even that slim hope was vanquished rather quickly.

And yeah, Ignite would have been useful. I don't take Ignite usually, if I'm going Cho, I usually keep to Tele and Ghost to help me get to where I need to be quicker. I don't think anyone else on our team had ignite either. Anyway, next time I'll try to watch a bit more closely when I'm building so that I don't end up doing the same thing again.
Is this game noob friendly? I wanna try :c
Derosis Wrote:Is this game noob friendly? I wanna try :c

The learning curve is never stopping, but i'd say that 'noobs' can join and learn it as time passes by without a problem.
Derosis Wrote:Is this game noob friendly? I wanna try :c

I feel it is noob friendly, the tuts are pretty nice and the match making system sets the games with people of your level, the SP players (At least Kajiti) Are very nice and once you find a champion that suits you the game is very fun.
Noob Friendlier than Dota.
The few things I like over LoL vs. Dota
1. shops- the biggest reason to learn fast.
2. different types of heroes ( ex: akali) ( this soon will disappear as when dota 2 is with a new engine)

The bad things:
losing the complexity to avoid skill shots with enough skill ( flash was able to do this but not anymore)
the creativity in dota heroes
Yea i feel that nobody will ever match icefrog in game balance and creativity.
In the long run where i played dota there was never a champion that was 'broken'.

But LoL requires less... i hate to call it this since it's bullpomegranate, but it requires less luck, juking and such is harder to do as effective as you can in DotA. Riot says there's less luck involved but honestly i'll call it less skill f3

Yes i love DotA with a passion, i'm a fanboy HeartHeartHeartHeartGlitterGlitterGlitterShineShineShine
^ I don't get how luck plays a factor in this game at all. The game has no miss system so....

I had an awesome match now, and since another guy picked tristana (and he sucked at playing her >_>) I choose Annie and completly soloed the upper line up to the inhibitor, when I was there we all went to the middle and won the game Big Grin

I think I'm gonna stick with Annie for a while.
Damn, the eu servers are lagging really bad right now. Was playing a custom and we were all disconnecting and reconnecting like a symphony.

Oh I can be really mean when it comes to reaching full potential. Constructive criticism onslaught mean. This includes me vs. myself =D

Kevin645 Wrote:The bad things:

Flash still can dodge skillshots. I think what you really meant was dodging homing projectiles, which works pretty much the same way in WC3.

Now that luck is normalized, it's possible to game the system and get a crit or a dodge when you really need it. Of course, this requires a lot of skill to do deliberately.

For example, idk why riot calls it luck but.
In DotA the fog of war is a lot different, there's a lot of ways to cut down trees and hide in small corners etc, basically you can 'juke' run away from the enemy. I personally am not a prof at this but i can do it rather well.
A lot of people whine about this and call it luck while in reality it's just knowing where you can hide, knowing how people react, knowing the maps.
Also it doesnt have miss but dodge, same thing basically.

Few examples from dota:

last video is about a hero which is where the idea of blitzcranks hook comes from. This guy is a god with that skill.

Phoenix Wright Wrote:If you decide to pick up Kat, I can give you some tips - she's my most played champion. Lux is great too, she's probably my second favorite. Corki is a really strong carry who works great with armor penetration and armor reduction.

What build do you use for Kat?
