I'm trying to convince myself that you are not serious, but I think you're forreal. Traveling in Twilight Princess was nothing more than riding that dumb wannabe Epona through the most bland and boring terrain to ever be seen in a Zelda game. It was as if the developers didn't want to push back the release date any more so they said "Let's just forget about side quests and while we're at it, let's just remove anything that could lead to the player adventuring away from the main story". When I reached Castle Town I was convinced that this was the case. It was depressing to see that OOT's Castle Town, a game nearly ten years older, had more life to its environment than the overhyped "Next gen Zelda". I still can't get over how HUGE Hyrule Field was and how there was literally nothing there. Why would they do something like that?

This. I can't believe someone else felt this way lmao. I mean it was fun for awhile, but it got too boring after awhile.

Oh my. Sorry. Was kinda out of it when I'd posted that, all I remembered was people arguing with you over games on the GCN, my bad.
Sorry :<
@Twilight Princess being boring:
Yes it's boring, but it also just looks gorgeous. That's usually what keeps me going, playing through the different dungeons to see the next beautiful place in the game.
It's become less of a game and more of a sightseeing trip, honestly. I've occasionally just rode Epona around Hyrule Field just looking at it all.
I loved the sidequests in Majora's Mask, though.

Hold up.
While Twilight Princess is one of the more mediocre Zerudas, you cannot say it didn't have some pretty sweet boss battles. Fighting the giant Stalfos skull while spinneran around a huge pillar? Top tier bossan.

Hell yeah. I loved Twilight Princess. The dungeons and boss battles were awesome. I also loved fighting on horseback. The whole graphics thing was just pure eye candy and added to the entire thing.

Overall the game was average, but yes it had good boss battles compared to other games in the series.
Also, how is linear bad? Personally I prefer to have the majority of the game be integrated into the story line with a healthy amount of side quests rather than leaving most of the game optional.
Edit: Yes I prefer TP over the WW. Simply put, all the good portions of the game are not worth the time wasted in the massive boring portions of the game. If I could play that game without the boring boat and ocean crap, then I might enjoy it.

I rather liked the TP approach: Can't reach it on foot? There's a cannon for that.

Cannons are definitly superior to the damn boat. Same for snow boarding. There wasnt a massive variety for travel, but there was at least enough for some variety and some minigames for those that like minigames.
But if you love cannon trave, play Secret of Mana.

Been there, done that. Honestly I just didn't really like the battle system that much.

The fact that everyone is trying to prove facts with opinions is making my spleen laugh.
When you think about it, every system only has a handful of good, awe-inspiring games and about 6-7 handfuls of crap.

"Nintendo 3DS is a category of one the experience simply doesn't exist anywhere else," Fils-Aime said. "You have to see Nintendo 3DS to believe it. And it's like nothing you've ever seen before."

I ~might~ cave at launch and buy one but im not feeling the blue and black colours and the inevitable cheaper and better system 12 months later is more tempting to me..
Plus 12 months on would be a better outlook on good games for the system. I know for sure i'll be picking up Ocarina as ive never played the original.
£219 on play.com
I got a feeling my mum's gonna preorder it for my birthday...

Back on topic, as much as I'd love to get my hands on this... One, I don't have the money for it yet... Two, probably won't get it until a month or two after release due to a lot of people getting it in a short span of time.

OT: kind of hoping they do another 'toon' link style zelda game for the 3DS. Wind Waker Nostalgia* all over again~
*Nostalgia because my first home console was a silver gamecube + wind waker bundle.

Kinda awkward moment here, but I was able to convince my parents to get me a 3DS as a super late B-day present, when it comes out.
I just made my own argument completely moot :|
