Attack speed boots are usually a bad choice overall for most chars.

You could probably guess my character by now.
madanthony Wrote:Yi sneaking around to kill undefended turrets in a 4v5 situation is about the only thing that can be done. Good call.
A Yi tip I wish the guy I was playing with earlier today knew: Alpha strike can go to an enemy champ even if you target a minion, but then you won't fly into the champ at the end. Good way to harass in the early game when there's a few minions around.

Yeah, that's probably one of my favorite parts about him. I do love the champion kills, but it's the ability to go and completely destroy lanes by himself that makes me happiest. There's just something satisfying about having everyone else busy doing something else while you decimate their creep and towers at an insane pace.

KajitiSouls Wrote:That's about time! =P

Indeed, but I also have access to a bunch more champions now since I got the collector's edition or whatever it's called. It doesn't make a huge difference, but the ability to choose more than the cheapies and weekly free ones is really what makes it more worthwhile to me. Anyway, I'm still making lots of stupid mistakes/dying a lot, but I'm guessing at around 25-30 games as Yi, I'll have cut down those by a bit. I'd like to stay with him til I get good, but I also have noticed a lack of tanks/variety damage in the two games I played, so I may have to settle down and learn some other champs before then. And by learn I mean play against real people, since I've played most champs against bots before. XP
Corn Wrote:Just played a custom with Ray. He...tried to teach me everything I needed to know. Except I learned basically what I needed to learn yesterday or the day before. So he basically didn't change my mind on anything except to buy the cooldown boots instead of the fast weapon attack boots.

...NOT THE COOLDOWN BOOTS

MERCURY'S TREADS, THE CC BOOTS

And you still think I'm joshing you when I say Manamune is better than Chalice for Caitlyn's mana issues...

If you're talking about the extra... 400 for the boots, it's easier to farm when you're alive than when you're dead.
I might go back to Rammus, been losing too many games playing Amumu....

Even though he's good...gotta restart my winning streak. >_<

BTW...how does Despair work?
You've been playing Amumu for how long now?

Despair drains a %HP from the enemies around you in a close radius as long as you have it toggled on. MR reduces this damage.

Out of the last 7 games I played with Amumu, I lost 6 of them. >_<

I had better luck when I started playing Rammus, lol
Just had an aggravating TWO HOUR game. We just kept on going back and forth...back and forth...this idiot Vlad was calling us noob.....I had the 2nd most kills in our team and least deaths....I had like, all of my end build gear....but damn that Vlad....he killed me, called me noob, I killed him, said "Boom Headshot." Goddammit. Then our own Vlad ragequit from being called noob too much...jesus Christ.

wow two hours is insane, longest game ive played/seen was 75ish minutes.

Got back into playing warwick a bit more today, for somereason the last few times i had played him, i hadn't been building spirit visage. Was more like razor, merc treads, banshee, ga/randiuns/etc. But today went back to visage and man its soooo good on warwick. I was going cloth armor>boots 1>razor>merc treads> visage> bloodrazor. Played three games with this build, game 1 built guardian angle(didnt complete it before end), game two didnt start a fourth item, and game 3 i build bloodthirster but didnt get to use to before game ended. First three items are solid, not really sure what to get fourth but leaning heavily towards another defensive item(ga, banshee, force of nature maybe?) any ideas?

Oh and had a cool game kinda, during loading screen of the second game, my power went out, 35 minutes later i log back on to find the game still going, 4v5. I rejoin as a level 1 warwick with 4400 gold and my team up 20 something kills to 8. buy a bloodrazor and boots and went to jungle lol. Made it to level 9 and got two assist before my team won :O. Was pretty funny seeing those items on a level 1.
Won 4v5!

Actually it was almost a 2v5 because fiddlesticks and I(shaco) were the only people that knew how to play...

He'd just CAW CAW CAW into all of them and I'd dps them down Biggrin
Well, I tried it today and I find this game to be really awesome.

Main: Tristana.

Another one joins the flock! Biggrin
Getting a kick out of playing "Tankaka". Basically Soraka with pure damage mitigation items and a heavy focus on Q/E early game instead of W. Amazing harass early game, end game either the enemy team focuses you or you stack up massive Starcall debuffs while they ignore you and your magic damage dealers melt their faces off.

It's one of those silly builds that catches people by surprise and ends up working pretty well.
FINALLY!

One of the best games I ever had. Had a couple of times where I used ult, but died, yet still helped my team out by trapping many enemy champs. =)

What was really sad though was the enemy Amumu didn't know how to play him. I killed him quite a few times.

Because he's not playing Rammus...?

That's one highly aggressive game xD
This screenie makes my last game look like shet xD

Me and my IRL friend carried this one. Smile

The funniest thing was that during the last minute of the game, I killed the rest of the opposing team simply by having Despair on. It was wtf and lolworthy at the same time, I guess. xD

OH I MEANT....Amumu. This is what happens when you become a Rammus veteran, lulz.

Next step: What Runes do you guys recommend for a full-time tanking player? According to Kaj, it costs about 19-20K IP to fill up one of the Rune pages (supposedly the hardest due to the high cost; subsequent Rune pages will be much "easier"), and I'm trying to save up as much as I can right now.

Tanking champs I will be using on a long-term basis: Rammus (primary), Amumu (primary), Blitzcrank (secondary), Nunu (secondary)
As said before tier 2 glyphs and or seals for mana regen per level are good and does help your early game by a ton, i'm not all that into runes tho.
Also they're cheap.
Unleashing Wrote:i'm not all that into runes tho.

What. I thought you were a pro player! XD
The most popular method is to either min or max your runes. That means either buy a full page of runes from tier 1 (min) or piece together a full page of tier 3 (max).

I bought mostly 3rd tier runes, with some of the more expensive ones though like cooldown glyphs I bought tier 2 because tier 3 is almost 1k a pop in that category.

For a full tank I'd recommend getting HP/level runes, +Armor/level runes, +Mres/level runes, and +HP quintessences.
