GMS 142 Battlemage at Dark Cornians

1.07% in 2 1/2 minutes, which translates to 25.68% per hour solo.
*Notes: Difficult layout is difficult.
2. Probably going to do some more exp samples after the patch, since earlier I calculated 39.84% per hour(Perhaps my navigation was much better).

Seemed like there were a fair few enemies that were left almost dead, and I've found such small samples of training to be not too telling of actual %/hr. Try it for maybe a Wizard Elixir, a 15 minute stew or a 30 minute Energizer. ;s

Question about the class itself. It seems to be button mashing crazy like Arans because they too have move that requires then to hit one button multiple times per second. Is it as painful to play, or is it actually not that button mashing?? Nice video by the way, I like how you use Chains to bring them close enough for you to annihilate

It only takes one cast to do a bl0w attack. It's just like skills like TT. They hit multiple times but you don't have to press a button each time you do an attack (throw a star).

Oh, so Death Blow (the attack that was being spammed) only needs one click? Hmmm I'm more interested in a Battle Mage in that case. Never again do I want to risk myself carpal tunnel like my Aran did. Mad

I know that BaMs and WH train differently (and BaM generally train faster), but you should go try out TT. That's kind of where I've been since 142 on my WH. A friend said nest golems at a certain level were good. They look good, nice small dense spawn with easy maplayout, but the exp is like 500 less than TT.

Why don't you use your finisher if there's only one mob left standing? Faster than attacking again. Or is it?

^ You need to be ready to use finisher to actually use it. Sometimes if you do random 2-3hko with tele + 6blow it becomes hard to tell when they're gonna be dead or not. Usually when that happens you already broke the chance to use finisher. If twilight was using Dark Aura he'd kill at a more constant rate, but he was using yellow aura for speed.

As for training spots, there really isn't any decent spots to train at for 14x lvls until you get to about 145, so you can handle mem lane 5. I tried to do mem lane 3 at lvl 144 and it was still horrible. I think I might have trained faster on dark cornians but, I didn't do any real testing to prove that.

As for twilight, bring some speed pills, the +10 speed is still good helps you move a bit faster. I use a estaff though, so I usually have dark aura on and any extra speed helps.

Excellent map navigation. But wouldn't be better to use Body Boost to speed up your attacks, even if it's just for 60 secs?

Also, wow @ mage with 14k HP Mad

That's Finishing Blow (AKA Sextuple Blow, 6Blow or 4th job blow), and yes, all BMage blow skills require only one click to do the whole combo. Even when you use a Evil Wings, Pyogo Mushroom or E. Staff (Faster(2) speed with booster), training a Battle Mage is painless.

The only moment I've got my hands tired playing a Battle Mage was when I practiced my (5Blow + Teleport up) + (The Finisher + Teleport up) w/ Evil Wings bossing combo on Papa Pixie in Mu Lung Dojo. Since then, I've decided to only use "5Blow + The Finisher + Teleport up", sightly less damage but much easier to do Eek

Posting exp/hour is totally useless if you don't include data of your total +xxx% potential gear...

Why yes it is. Looking forward to hearing the full SSF4AE themes.

The layout is manageable but mobs are spread out too much for my tastes(Only gotten to Memory Lane 2 so far). I also tried Nest Golems(2 hitting) too, seems like it would be the best exp if I were to party with someone there, but they would also need to be within 5 levels of me so I could leech them.

Pretty much what was said below. Finisher also interferes a bit with navigation/Adv Chains in certain spots.

I was using Yellow Aura for the speed boost for getting around the map. 110-130 is such a big difference. If would've been using my MW19 mule I would've been 100% 2 hitting with FB and Teleport Mastery. I'll try out speed pills and probably sub out my current shoes for a set of whitebottoms.

I try to avoid using cooldown skills in a 2:30 video to avoid 'skewing' the exp gain.

Not really, it's more about your ability to kill ___ Mob with ___ combination of skills. Sure you could argue that a character with a high % int value would only be able to do this, but that isn't really true. A character that focuses on Magic Attack boosts could do the same. Likewise with a character with a high ( ideally 90%) critical rate. And I lost the point I was getting to...Tongue

yet another class that would be insanely hard to die with when washed then.

Just wanted to say that your control is superb. Must be really hard not to fall in that map, but you make it look easy.

He has Stance, so that definitely helps with not falling.
