No one actually. If it works in getting someone depressed it meets the aim of this thread, no?
Hmm, well it doesn't really seem too effective. I can give you some reading material that kinda goes into that territory though, if you wanna think more about it.
Actually, I'm in the middle of reading something as I type this. Oyasumi Punpun kinda starts out lighthearted and funny but in the later chapters it does get rather serious about issues with human nature that you've pointed out, though a bit more realistic. I'd imagine it's something you could possibly relate to, specifically at about the chapter 30 mark.
Your pasta is weak because it's trying to target an extreme. A person that purposely manipulates others and doesn't give a damn. A person that doesn't feel guilty at all for toying with others, and I honestly doubt there are many people on these forums that can relate to it at all.

Do tell.
I've a love for dystopic and depressing settings/stories, so i'll consider looking this up at another time.
And if it fails then oh well. The target I tried to paint for it would be a girl going through emotional stress, conflicted with clashing emotions and thoughts/rationale. someone who's made some poor choices in life and that would come back to haunt them later. Maybe I shouldn't have made such a specific target for that, but I'm too lazy to think up something more vague/open to interpretation at present.

You could always try Welcome To The NHK as well. There's the novel (source material) that you can find online, but there's also the manga and anime adaptations. The anime is a bit lighter on the themes than the manga and novel though.
I have other stuff in mind if you're not quite looking for something that has comic relief every now and then in the middle of the depressing moments, but Welcome to the NHK is something a bit realistic for people to relate to, minus the girl.

Hooray.
I finds this today. Skip to 55 seconds.
*Donkey Kong Country 2*
Childhood motherfucker.
Gah, this game. It's a great part of my childhood. I feel sad that I was never able to get through all of the levels needed to enter the special world, that one level with the timed/controlled barrels I could never pass.
