huh?

While on the Twisted Paths, I found a BF. Since I'm 5x, there's no point in hitting it. However, I shot a jr Wraith next to it and BF took a little damage, as well. (his (her?) HP bar popped up, whereas it hadn't earlier.) Even so, it did not aggro. I did not hit it.

Trying to find my pic...

Edit:

That bar does not appear if you don't hit it, right?

As a side note: Is it a good idea to solo BF at any level with a Pally or an F/P? If so, what level?

that's probably either a bug or an actual way you're supposed to be able to fight it.

If you get within a boss's range, the HP bar can pop up. I don't remember if it has to have taken damage or not. :X

Yeah, that's a little weird. It happened to me too.

Not neccessarily. I've run through the twisted paths maps before when there are bigfoots there and haven't seen the bar appear. Confused

I've actually hit and missed it, and no bar.

Do you think this apparent indirect fighting is what they meant as a method of dealing with it when adding this boss?

If the boss has been damaged, then the boss bar will pop up as soon as you get near it.

It like manon bar, when you hit it, it apper. so maybe it not a bug.

He didn't hit it =O.

I was near it, no bar. tele away -> shoot wraith = the bar appears.

No one else was on that map, and if it can be dodged easily, why bother hitting it?
I am sure I can't hit it, nor did I hear the sound in BF's "hit animation".

Missing counts for aggro, not the bar.

Yeah, it showed up when I hit that Stormbreaker. And then the HP started going down erratically (as in, I'd hit for 1 damage, and it would go down by way more than that, and at other points, I'd hit it and it wouldn't go down at all)

That probably means someone was killing it down below you while you were crossing there. If you had jumped down, you would've found someone killing, I'm sure.

Also, I remember Stumpy's (The only area boss I've fought. Tongue) health bar all the way across the top, not the 2/3 screen bar there.

It starts wherever the map is, I believe. It never goes below the map. I don't know if moving it would change that or not. :X

I think that's a bit hard to believe, because the HP Bar showed up exactly when I hit the Stormbreaker. And also, wouldn't there have been a person on the mini-map if they were fighting? And if there was a person there, then why would it show up even though the person was so far away from me? :f6:

It's weird. You were probably out of range of seeing the person but the HP bar will show for a larger range when it is taking damage from somebody. That's the only logical thing to me.
