[1.2.364] PVP is here!

Fiel Wrote:I don't think the EXP will be that enormous. It's probably because the EXP you get is affected by server multipliers on EXP. As such, with it being Tespia, the numbers are outrageous.

I'm gonna equate this exp to things from Party Quests, and those are not boosted in Tespia.

Edit: Potential effects are nullified inside PvP. Sad

I can't wear my bow inside there because of that ;~;

SaptaZapta Wrote:Doesn't have to be "the archetypical adventurer" to be recognizable. You can't mistake a DK, with zerk and beholder and spear, for anything else. Or a Corsair in his ship. You know what, if they'd had a ninja throwing stars around, I wouldn't much care that I couldn't tell if it's an NL or NW. The fact that they have absolutely no reference to any of the "older" classes is what galls.

Not too surprising, though. Recall that in the Visitor event, all "future maplers" were Cygnus Knights, and the bosses were Aran and Evan? Nexon's opinion of the place of traditional Adventurers is pretty clear. None of them have any chance in this PvP anyway.
Aran sucks at this and some adv. classes like Bucc and NL seem to own it.

What with DS being castable in the air yeah it seems so.

I still hope that Paladins don't suck balls at this. I really like playing PVP in some other games.

But it seems classes with spammable ranged attacks always have the advantage..

Well it also depends how much time per round too, but still im with fiel, Tespia = Higher Exp than normal.

Oh yay, leech is back, in the form of selling PvP wins.

PvP seems to be entirely random as far as who you fight anyway and it doesn't look like 1v1 is available. In fact i haven't seen any matches where the people fighting were below 6 persons.

It takes what, 7-8 minutes at level 151 to get 1.6m exp at Regrets? The 750k exp at level 103 is what's insane.

Aran's will inherently do badly in pvp because their whole mechanic revolves around gathering a mob, and beating them to death with as many hits as possible, getting stronger with each hit. You can't do that with pvp because you're not playing against an AI. Players aren't stupid enough to stick around in one spot and and get pummeled by an Aran until the aran can do actually decent damage. The aran can't use any finishers until it makes at least 30 hits, and can't use any ultis. untill 200 hits. Combo up is out of the question as well since it cuts your hp, making it even easier to die. Plus the disadvantage between range/multihit vs. melee and aran's are left in the dust.

Edit: Of course I may be completely wrong since I don't know how the damage mechanics work in pvp.
