Enhancement Scrolls add stats?

I had (it just blew up) an El Nathian Cape with +1 INT, some HP,MP and some defence (very badly scrolled, it was from quite a while ago)
The thing was, i used 2 Enhancement scrolls on it, and it added +1 Dex. The cape has never had DEX on it, it started with only +50 HP and MP.

Has this happened to anyone else? it seems strange that it would add a whole new stat to an item

Oh i see, i thought they only added onto stats which you already had, like Chaos Scrolls.

Is there any limitation on what stat can be added? Can a Enhancement scroll really add Wattk/Mattk to any kind of equip (not only weapons)?

The idea of turning a normal cape into a Wattk/Mattk cape for just 3~4m (w/ lots of luck) is interesting

No. Only weapons gets attack. Some claim that gloves also can get attack, but I have never seen it in game or on any screenshots. So no cheap attack scrolling for you, sadly.

Considering how low the chances of getting attack would be I don't think they would be that much expensive. 20% chance of blowing whatever you got vs 0.1% chance of getting 1 attk. Hmmm...

i've used 100s of enhancement scrolls on random items since they came out. A lot on gloves...so far, there has only been once instance where it INCREASED the attack of the glove, i have yet for an enhancement scroll to add any attack when it doesnt have attack though.

The glove was 4 atk (stupid 60%s >.<) and i tossed a couple enhancement and it bumped it to 6 atk, thankfully it was a unique glove so that made it a little easier to sell.
