Awakeplace and my pattern was broken a little while ago, from there i have yet to develop a pattern that fits. I am unsure if awakeplace has developed another pattern but i assume he has not.

The only pattern i've been hearing about, sadly, is a fellow jaira hunter i buddied who keeps going on about a 36 hour spawning a pattern. As we all can see and should know, this is not true. Just by looking at awakeplace's log we see variances of 12 hour, 24 hour, and 36 hour intervals between spawns. Even with this log, i am sorry to inform all of you but this fellow jaira hunter who thinks theres a 36 hour pattern STILL believes theres a 36 hour pattern.

Anyways, as far as i can tell it's been pretty random from 1/10. So to tell you the best time to hunt, 1-2 (times have been moving), or 12-2 to be safe. I would hunt in the morning because thats when more captures take place. Although, i myself hunt both times if i can.

Are you getting your information from awakeplace's log? because if you are it seems like some of your AM's and PM's are reversed o.o. Dec 28th was AM, Dec 30th was PM, Jan 2nd was AM

Unless you're in Zenith/El Nido/Arcania. Then you have 20 channels.

@Tigeon; I'm not above stealing a Jaira because I had to get up early because of it. That and this is for a friend whose World I don't even play on anymore, mostly because everyone there's either an ass or an idiot.

I just caught one at 1:18 and helped a friend get one at 1:22 and saw someone else with one at 1:20. Windia.

wow the one day i don't go search for it is the day it spawns in teh afternoon .

CC'd to chan 5 didnt see anything so i cc'd, soon as i cc'd i saw the blue text appear, so i cc'd back. Good thing its still there.
Caught mines, then cc'd to chan 3, found another one, and gave it to guildie.

Sadly, i live PST and am not able to make the PM spawn times unless i skip school. I'm not so addicted to maple to skip school to play a game .

Just caught one for my gf at 2:50 pm in galicia, ch9. Now i need one lol >.<.

edit: boo, must've just been lucky finding that last one, none of the other chs seem to have any, bah lol.

My Friend caught one at 6 pm exactly O.o He killed a jaguar and it spawned...

I've been reading this post eversince it came out, and I registered on this forum just to thank you guys.

edit 2: found first one at around 1:30,
found 2nd one a min after, captured mines fast.
found 3rd one for guildie after 5mins or so.
found 4th one for cousin 5mins after guidlies.

I think that Jaira only spawns when you go in the room. Since the 2nd one til the 4th one I found, it all just spawned, showing blue text on screen.

Information from the Map.wz file:
The WZ files show almost no information to help us. There is one map, 931000500 (iirc), which lists all the mobs in the map, but doesn't list Jaira (this could also be why Jaira doesn't have a specified spawn location, there isn't a specified spawn location in the WZ file map data). All the other maps link to this map (as in, they are copies of this map), and no mob information is given. The only difference between the mobs listed in the map is that one of the tan/brown jaguars (I forget whether it's top left or top right, but I don't think it makes a difference) has a mobTime of 0, the rest of the jaguars have a mobTime of 1. I'm not sure what mobTime does, but I thought it might be worth pointing out. And no, killing this tan/brown jaguar does not spawn Jaira.

There are a total of ten maps. 00, 09, 08, 07, 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01. They go in order as listed. If someone is in the first map (00), and no one is in the second map (09), you will be placed in the second map. If there is one and only one person in every map, you will be placed in the first map, and it cycles like this. Once you are in a map, you can change channels, and you will still be in that map.

Information from the Mob.wz file: (Jaira in general)
Jaira takes 5 damage per hit, constant, similar to all jaguars except the normal black ones. Jaira cannot be KB'd, and he has 300 health, compared to a normal jaguar's 125. For what it's worth, a normal black jaguar takes 25 damage per hit, constant. The most valuable piece of information gained here is that Jaira, once spawned, will disappear after 15 minutes.

Even if you are currently riding a jaguar when you catch another one (Jaira included), you will automatically switch to the jaguar you just caught, so don't be afraid of riding a jaguar while trying to catch Jaira.

Jaira is similar to an area boss in that after he spawns, the first player to enter that map will receive a blue message saying "Jaira has appeared from between the boulders". That does not mean that this text will always appear, people might receive the text and leave, or be afk in the map with a Jaira present. Do not channel surf waiting for the text.

Also, to the people asking about a pattern/when the best time to catch it is: I haven't been able to develop a pattern since the three-day break of no reports. Any pattern I've come up with since the last one failed has been thrown out the window because of those three days of no reports. So, in essence, I have no idea. Keep checking, and you're more likely to catch it. Sorry, I know that isn't very helpful. :\

... ... what? You posted that at 3:08pm PST, but he caught it at 6pm in the future? I'm guessing that's also in Yellonde, oui?
Sorry, should have been more specific. It was 6 pm EST. Yellonde. Map Id 00

I got mine at around 4:35 pm ESt, a friend of mine got hers at 4:45. A random stranger got his at 4:55. All in map id 00.

You know, maybe the whole "Jaira dissapears 15 minutes" part is a little misleading. I believe every channel in held a jaira in map id 00 at 4:30 pm est. But if jaira was suppose to poof after 15 minutes at the suppose spawn time, my friend shouldn't have gotten his at 6. This makes me believe that the 15 minutes dissapering act relates to it already being in the map, which means someone would have to be in the map for it to spawn. I can also say that jaira won't leave till you leave if you stay on the map. I stayed on a map with jaira for over 20 minutes till someone else came and got it. Makes me think there has to be no one on the map for it to go poof.

Also a good two tips. Jaira didn't spawn for my friend (the one my friend caught at 6 pm est) until he killed another one. I also told him to wait at least 10 seconds before he cc. After around 7 seconds jaira spawned for him.

For me, I didnt kill any jaguar for Jaira to appear. I just cc'd to a chan w/o anyone on it, and the blue text appeared.
