While people here may "favor" anime or video game music, that's because, well, it's what they like. And the point of this is to spread music you like to others, so... yeah.

In the last tournament, I believe there were only 4 entries of the 24 that were from games (Lufia, FFX, Tales, and DFO), so no, it was only VG music. >_>

Also, to address Holypie: I still think that's too restrictive. I'm hesitant to impose ANY restrictions at all, really, but I think the language thing is much less of a major restriction that no lyrics or only one genre. The idea of this is that you submit music you like, not that you submit music you think will win. I mean, if you have 5 of your favorite songs to choose from, by all means pick the ones you think other people will like more. Just don't compromise your own tastes to accommodate others; that defeats the point of this contest.

I'll join once you clearly outline what the restrictions are going to be. To be frank, "lyrics can't be in English or it can't be game music from somewhere that's not America" eliminates just about everything I listen to.
