I spoke to AshesOfJaira via whisper who was very helpful with some questions I had. I met a random guy while waiting for Jaira who seemed to believe if he was in a lower room number, his chances were better. I ended up making another WH on my other account (TangoMachino as seen in MelfinaRAWR's screen shot) and parked it in Ch 9 Room 00. I was in Room 08 the other guy (IGN:Amplifiction) was in Room 07.

On TangoMachino at 4:07 EST the blue text came up. I informed Amplification and ran to the room on my other account. Amp watched as I tired to capture it, but it kept saying his HP wasn't low enough, he tried and managed to catch it. We both started looking for another and i accidently killed it because it said HP wasnt low enough yet again. Found yet another and caught it. Amp found another and I watched him kill it, but he said he was trying to recapture it (?). I decided to get one for the mule which was successful. Shortly after i met MelfinaRAWR and i think we swapped fame. I met a girl earlier who was running through channels, so i found another and whispered her. Her ign is iGrowlx3. After she got hers, I kept looking and some guy (TimelessWolf) happened to say "I want Jaira~!" followed by "OMG" when I entered and he say me on it. I encouraged him to keep looking. My mule was in Ch 7 Room 00 and the blue text came up again. This was at around 4:25 EST. I whispered him and told him the location which he managed to capture.

There was another person helping people out. I cant remember her IGN, but right after TimelessWolf captured his, she said there was another at Ch2 Room 00. We both looked for people who was trying to get, but some level 10 (who I think didn't get how to capture it) was killing all the Jags as well as Jaira before anyone else could enter. Helliquin was running around killing Jags. I tried to tell him about the one in Ch2, but he said he didn't want it. FuhrideRice tried to get the Ch2 one, but couldn't get to Room 00. I checked Ch1-19 Rooms 00, 09 and 08 after this, but I couldn't find any addition Jaira's.

Between 4:25-4:30EST Ch7 Room 00 it spawned and was captured by TimelessWolf
4:3xEST Ch2 Room 00 killed by random Level 10 person.

You have to be kidding me...

First day after one full week of searching I can't search on AM spawn,
and it's captured many many times.

I guess my pattern is right after all.
It won't spawn when I'm there.

EDIT: Just cc'ed to ch 2, and one spawned without me killing one.
EDIT 2: Also, I found 4 more in addition to the ones in channels 1 and 2, and I bumped into someone who recently caught one as well. So there's quite a few that spawned and I think they all spawn at the same time.

You got to be kidding me! jldkjfkldjflkdj i had just lvl around 12:50 i was going to camp out last night but i didn't and it spawned -_____- god

Information from the Map.wz file:
The WZ files show almost no information to help us. There is one map, 931000500 (iirc), which lists all the mobs in the map, but doesn't list Jaira (this could also be why Jaira doesn't have a specified spawn location, there isn't a specified spawn location in the WZ file map data). All the other maps link to this map (as in, they are copies of this map), and no mob information is given. The only difference between the mobs listed in the map is that one of the tan/brown jaguars (I forget whether it's top left or top right, but I don't think it makes a difference) has a mobTime of 0, the rest of the jaguars have a mobTime of 1. I'm not sure what mobTime does, but I thought it might be worth pointing out. And no, killing this tan/brown jaguar does not spawn Jaira.

There are a total of ten maps. 00, 09, 08, 07, 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01. They go in order as listed. If someone is in the first map (00), and no one is in the second map (09), you will be placed in the second map. If there is one and only one person in every map, you will be placed in the first map, and it cycles like this. Once you are in a map, you can change channels, and you will still be in that map.

Information from the Mob.wz file: (Jaira in general)
Jaira takes 5 damage per hit, constant, similar to all jaguars except the normal black ones. Jaira cannot be KB'd, and he has 300 health, compared to a normal jaguar's 125. For what it's worth, a normal black jaguar takes 25 damage per hit, constant. The most valuable piece of information gained here is that Jaira, once spawned, will disappear after 15 minutes.

Even if you are currently riding a jaguar when you catch another one (Jaira included), you will automatically switch to the jaguar you just caught, so don't be afraid of riding a jaguar while trying to catch Jaira.

Jaira is similar to an area boss in that after he spawns, the first player to enter that map will receive a blue message saying "Jaira has appeared from between the boulders". That does not mean that this text will always appear, people might receive the text and leave, or be afk in the map with a Jaira present. Do not channel surf waiting for the text.

It's odd that the spawn times have been progressively moving backwards. I wonder if that's because it moves back various amounts depending on when the last Jaira was caught, or something else.

saw 5 at 2am pst in bellocan this morning. i had some girl with one, come and kill 2 while i was trying to catch one.

all of your captures officially broke the pattern finally. The pattern successfully worked until todays date, 1/10. It was a good run Tongue

. but this just means i am going to have to work much harder on catching jaira... ahh wish me luck

If anyone doesnt mind and is extremely kind, i wouldn't mind getting help hunting jaira. Just add me, SolarApollo. I play in bera. I know most people are like "dammit once i get jaira i quit! i've spent too much time in Jaguar Habitat!" and i totally understand Tongue

Looks like today there will be no reports via southperry.

I do believe that tonight will not have a spawn. The most we've had consecutive spawns was 4 day of pm, one of which had no reports. That was from 1/4-1/7.
That being said, there have been 4 days of AM so far, 1/8-1/11, 2 of which had no reports. It could be a record breaker tonight but we will never know.

I will still be online tonight! since there is no definite pattern i will probably be on every night looking for one. I am usually afk until 12:30, which is when i set my alarm. If my alarm does not wake me i will be afk the entire night Tongue

. And if jaira spawns on one of these days, i will just give myself a good facepalm Big Grin

I can verify that there was no jaira in yellonde today during the afternoon. I will continue to search everyday for a pm spawn =x
It sucks that I can't be on during the AM spawn, but there is no way in hell I'm staying / waking up at 3 AM EST (DAM TIMEZONES) for jaira and hoping that it spawns...

wow wow wow. The one night i can stay up without worry of school due to snow, theres a server maintanence. Oh well, i suspected no jaira tonight anyway. Hopefully it will spawn at noon tomorrow? who knows. Good luck to all!

tigeon, i think jaira needs to spawn for you more than for me. you've been hunting for too long!

I really hope it does D= spending 2-3 hours everyday in the pm won't work when college starts up, so spending extra time this week on getting it Chin

This is the second day in a row without reports. That means this is the first time we have had two consecutive days where we have not heard of jaira. Catching jaira is becoming more difficult with the gradual lack of information on this thread :[.

No jaira from 3-5:30 pm est.

College starting up next monday, this will be the last few days before i won't able to log in for a long while =/ Praying hard.

I think we can all agree that there is some logical pattern, but we just can't find it yet because it's only been a month. More data is necessary.

I dont understand how jaira police are killing them before they spawn.

Looking at awakeplaces log, i cannot see a logical pattern. the only pattern i would see coming would be a day number pattern, where if todays the 1st and it spawned AM then next month would be AM. We have tried looking at the weekdays, we have tried looking at a xxAM spawn switches to xxPM spawn, nothing fits as of 1/10. To respond to your statement about not having enough data, i agree. To respond to your statement about it only being a month which is the reason we cant see a pattern, i disagree. Sorry if i interpret your statement wrong.

We could see a pattern within a month if ALL the data is compiled. Awakeplace only has data from what he has found. If each capture of each day was accounted for, we could probably see a pattern. There are people who don't report their capture, people who don't record their time and give estimations, and lets not forget people who troll.

Anyways, so far i only have two questions for jaira hunting:
1. Is there ever a pattern to be found? (i'm assuming it's just random. a friend said it might just be random between AM, PM, and no spawn. Thus every time you look you have a 1/3 chance)
2. Will jaira's spawn time continue to move forward away from 12? (He's slowly been moving towards 2, and people have stated he spawns from 12-2. If he continues to move, will he continue past 2 or will he restart at 12? you guys can guess all you want but we wont know for sure)

It is too early to tell an answer for the second question, there is not enough information compiled into once source to answer the first question. Good luck with hunting your jairas everyone!

Edit: Forgot to mention that 1/12 had a server maintenance for the AM spawn.
Edit 2: Updated to include a possible (not direct) PM sighting. Will edit this post for any other PM sightings today (1/13).
Edit 3: Deleted that sighting, I don't believe it because there were no others. It was just someone with a Jaira that cc'ed into his map and said he just caught it.
