Downloaded and played a match yesterday, didn't do too bad, lost but still had fun. How long does it take to earn 3500 IP? I want to play Vlad but the only way is to unlock him.

Just keep playing, play smart, and start winning games (you'll get more IP this way). What champion are you using right now?

For the seasoned players: For Nunu, do I just get enough def items for him to be able to resist damage? Because right now, from the build I have, assuming I have the opportunity to fill up every slot, I usually get three AP items (Deathcap, RoA, and probably Spirit Visage?) and have a mix of three Def/Mdef armors (Mercury Threads, Randouins Omen, and Banshee Veil). With all of those items, I'm able top top 3.5K+ HP and barely scratching the 2K MP mark, which I think is sufficient with the few armors I have.

Good build?

I played as Ryze and didn't mind it too much, but I only have those 10 available in the free rotation.

The fact the first champion you want to buy is ridiculously expensive is better - otherwise you'll end up like me and only be able to play one champion.

I would recommend that you buy Ashe and play with her instead of playing random characters. She's very easy to start with, yet she's cheap (its around 400 IP or so).

@ Rayquaza2233: Nunu can be played as a tank, not just a caster alone, and he does well in tanking. I played him as a tank along with his casting role, and I don't see a problem. :f6:

I'm assuming you like ryze's playstyle when I say this so: Annie might be a better choice than vlad for you, her burst damage is insanely good one full combo and you should be able to kill almost any squishy carry or ensure a kill for your team (she has aoe stun as well) and you will pretty much guarantee that their team has to retreat or die fighting. I've seen annies kill 3 people at one time with just R and W.

Vlad is more of a single-target nuke to one player, but his ultimate makes units afflicted by it take extra damage, which may benefit your team more than annie.

Just felt like mentioning this.

Also, you may want to look up vids of champs you want to buy on youtube, preferably recent ones because champs have been nerfed and buff a lot since their original spotlight vids.

EDIT: And vlad is 6300 IP, btw. Not 3500, unless you're adding it to what you currently have.

@ray and will: Nunu is an off-tank. He's pretty much a secondary tank that deals more damage than normal tanks, but has much less survivability than a regular tank. All you need to do is make sure you have good offense early game with an item like Rod Of Ages (epic for nunu) and then start building tanky items until you feel you can live a teamfight easily, then you just build more and more offense to crush the enemy.

I agree that vlad should never be considered a tank (i hate it when people build mainly hp items on him like warmogs... -facepalm-

but nunu is a tank, more or less. He helps keep carries alive like a tank, but he needs to build damage as well as build tank items. He's also an excellent cc magnet because of his ult, which helps keep your carries alive and gives you an advantage because your team will usually have more skills to waste on carries than the other does.

You shouldn't be picking nunu as a tank if you see that your team needs one, but yes, he compliments another tank very nicely.

I feel like I can play everything but Ranged DPS and Tank.

For some reason I always do really horribly as any Ranged DPS that isn't Sivir.

I mean using him as a primary tank. I'm not too picky about who can be used as a "secondary tank" since that's a lot more flexible.

Anyways, I might join the Bravery douching with my smurf account. (Remember that boots come AFTER the core items.) However, I already made plans to crash at my brother's place to hang out and have fun in general, so don't exactly expect me to show up.


@ Kurtle, my first champion that I bought was Anivia. I was lvl 14 by the time I grinded up enough IP for her (6300), and that was abusing a double IP weekend event, and I didn't get anything else. A'sploding people with Veigar was all fun and good xD But yeah, you're probably going to be lvl 16 or 17 by the time you get Vlad permanently unlocked.

On the build, it says to get boots anytime that you need it. So basically, we get it whenever we feel like we need it.
