Wild Hunter 4th Job Advance.. Wdf?

I'm doing 4th job advance for my Wild Hunter and i'm on the part where I have to face this weird Machine weapon. I keep getting it down to about half it's HP but everytime I get to that point he does 6.5k damage to me (I only have 4.3k hp) and then 4k damage immediatly after (like literally a milisecond after) so even if I HP washed I still couldn't survive this thing.. what the hell am I supposed to do? I'm trying to get as ranged as possible but it can still hit me, I use Wild Trap in hopes it 'Puppets' it but that doesn't work either -.-

get HB before you go in and use apple? o_o

HB wouldn't even get my HP up that high to stand the 6.5k and 4.5k immediately after. Plus I don't even know of any Spearmen/DK so i'm pomegranate out of luck I guess. :[

How the hell did the 120+ WHs do this shet.

EDIT: Wow.. I tried jumping like a whore to avoid his ground attack but he did 7.7k damage to me when I was in the air when I literally had him down to 2% left. *sadface*

Are you sure he isn't using Damage Reflect just as he reaches 50% HP? Lilynouch does exactly that and no other type of attack can deal damage with no delay (well poison can too).

If it really is damage reflect you just need to stop attacking when he does DR and then resume when it runs out. It should have a set pattern for DRing (like every 60 seconds and lasting 20 seconds or something).

Casting Wild Trap, using 3 Enduring Fire, Recast Trap, 3 more Enduring Fire, etc etc. Sometimes between Casting Trap and Enduring Fire I had to hug wall so he wouldn't own me but eh, it worked after 1hour of trying different crap, 40minutes basically me just going all out getting owned and dieng lmao. 4th Job now anyways<3

For future reference, it does damage reflect. It's not at 50% but rather at some other % (Near full hp). Just wait for it to cast it, then it has a 60 second cooldown. You can attack freely for 60 seconds without fear of DR. If you feel you wont' be able to kill it in 60 seconds, attack for like 55~ and wait for it to DR, then attack again once it's gone.

For WH, you can use trap to verify 100% if DR is gone w/o fear.

Oh okay, thanks. ^^' I'll keep that in mind down the road when I get a Mechanic to that level assuming it fights the same boss.

They all fight the same boss. Don't hold your attack key, pay attention to his animation frames.
Once you see something different, i don't remember the exact animation because i did the advance many months ago, stop attacking in that moment.
